The IM user mapping function is used to map users on third-party IM platforms to users on the Data Agent platform, ensuring that the target receivers configured for scheduled tasks can accurately match the recipients on the IM tools.
Through user mappings, the pushing targets of scheduled tasks on the Data Agent platform are bound to the required users on third-party IM tools, ensuring that messages can be accurately delivered to target users or groups.
Flexibly adapting to different enterprises' user management practices, the Data Agent platform allows its users to be aligned with IM users.
Mappings can be added one by one or uploaded in batches by a mapping table to meet the user configuration requirements of enterprises of different sizes, improving management efficiency.
Log in as an administrator and choose Management Backend > User Management > IM User Mapping. The tab page displays a list of configurable IM platforms. Click Edit next to a target platform (for example, WeCom) to enter the user mapping configuration page for that platform.
Log in to the WeCom admin console as the WeCom administrator, complete the app connection by referring to WeCom Bot - App Connection, and then proceed to the next step of user mapping.
After you enter the platform configuration page, two user matching methods are available. Select one according to your enterprise’s actual scenario.
Mapping Method
Application Scenario
Match by Username/ID
The usernames/user IDs on the two platforms are the same or have a clear correspondence.
Custom Match
The usernames/IDs on the two platforms are inconsistent and require manual mapping.
After you select the Match by Username/ID option, the system will automatically attempt to match the usernames/IDs on the third-party IM platform with those on the Data Agent platform.
Users matched successfully will be automatically synchronized to the Data Agent platform, requiring no manual mapping configuration. After the configuration is completed, click Save. Then the matching rules will take effect immediately.
After selecting Custom Match, you can upload a user mapping table in the User Mapping area below to upload mappings in batches. The steps are as follows:
(1) You can first download the import template, enter information according to the template format, and then upload the mapping table.
(2) After the table is successfully uploaded, the system will automatically parse the table content, and the page will simultaneously display the WeCom usernames and the Data Agent usernames.
(3) After matching, you can manually modify the Data Agent usernames corresponding to the WeCom users again.
Currently, only .xls and .xlsx mapping tables can be uploaded.
(1) To connect to WeCom for getting user data, the WeCom administrator must export the user IDs from the admin console to complete the mapping.
(2) When matching users by username/ID, ensure that the usernames/IDs on the IM platform and the Data Agent platform are exactly the same. Otherwise, users cannot be automatically matched.
(3) The table for batch mapping upload must strictly follow the template format. Non-standard column names or formats will cause parsing to fail.
