This article provides four common permission assignment scenarios to help administrators assign permissions to other users, so that other users can also view or edit dashboards and create data tables.
Assign permissions to regular users to view dashboards that have been hung in the directory.
For example: the entire department of the finance department needs to have permissions to all templates in the "Banking and Finance" directory. The super administrator needs to do the following.
In the manage > user > platform user , add the users of the financial department to the users of the PC terminal , as shown in the following figure:
Add the finance department to the BI user under the PC-side user, and view the user under the user, as shown in the following figure:
InManage > Permission, select the Finance Dept. and assign viewing rights to the entire directory folder of "Bank Financial", as shown in the following figure:
In Manage > Permission, select the Finance Department and assign the use rights of all business packages used in the templates under "Bank Financial", as shown in the following figure:
Permission assignment can be completed.
Assign permissions to ordinary users, allowing them to create dashboards and create data tables.
Note: Only super administrators can create new groups, and ordinary users cannot be assigned the authority to create new groups.
Example: Lisa of the Sales Department and Billy of the Development Department are the data analysts of the corresponding department, responsible for the production of business templates in this department. The super administrator needs to assign and manage the "Electronics Industry" and "Retail Industry" separately for these two users. ” permissions for the business package.
In Manage > Use > Platform User , add Lisa and Billy to BI User > Design User , as shown in the following figure:
Add two people to BI Design User >BI Data Analysis User , as shown in the following figure:
In Manage > Permission , assign business package rights according to users, assign two users the use and management rights of the corresponding department business packages, and users can use and manage the data tables under the business package, as shown in the following figure:

Users can use and edit the corresponding data table under the business package, as shown in the following figure:
Note: If you need to assign the permission to create a business package to a user, you need to enable the permission of the group corresponding to the business package. For details, see: Assigning the permission to create a business package
Example: Lisa from the sales department and Billy from the development department are the data processing personnel of the corresponding department, responsible for adding basic data tables and making dashboards in their own departments. ” and the “Retail Industry” business package and the right to add the underlying table under the “ BIdemo ” data connection.
In Manage > User > Platform User , add Lisa and Billy to BI User > Design User , as shown in the following figure:
Add two people to BI Design User > BI Data Processing User , as shown in the following figure:
The user can use and edit the corresponding data table under the business package, and the setting steps are the same as those in Section 2.2).
Data processing users can only add "Database Tables" and "SQL Data Sets" from the data connection after the data connection permission is assigned.
Click Global Settings , check Data Connection Control , and click Save , as shown in the following figure:
Select the BIdemo data connection under the data connection , and check the "Use" permission, as shown in the following figure:
After assigning the "Business Package Management" permission and "Data Connection" permission, the user can add "Database Table" and "SQL Data Set" under the business package, as shown in the following figure:
Assign permissions to ordinary users to allow them to view or use modules in the management system.
Example: Billy from the development department applies to become a sub-administrator, assisting the super-supervisor to complete authority management, personnel management and other tasks.
In Manage > User > Platform User , add Billy to Platform User and Design User > Data Processing User , as shown in the following figure:
1) In Manage >Permission , click Global Setting , enable hierarchical authorization , and click Save , as shown in the following figure:
2) Permissions such as manage, personnel management can be assigned as needed, as shown in the following figure:
Note: If you need to assign directory management permissions, you need to enable the directory editing button under global settings, and the data connection control button needs to be enabled for data connection permissions.
Display the corresponding data according to the login person corresponding to the BI system
Example: When the financial department is doing the sales statistics of the company's products, it is hoped that the sales staff in each region can only see the data of their own region.
In Manage > User > Platform User , add users to Platform User and Design User > Data Processing User , as shown in the following figure:
