1. Overview

Grammar	RAND()	Returns a uniformly distributed random number. Every time the worksheet is calculated, the function returns a new random value.

No parameters
To generate a random number between a and b, you can use the following formula: RAND()*(b-a)+a.

Formula	Result	Remark
RAND()*60	Generate a random number greater than or equal to 0 and less than 60
RAND()*19	Generate a random number greater than or equal to 0 and less than 19
RAND()*50	Generate a random number greater than or equal to 0 and less than 50
