5.1 | 2020-01-15 | - |
2020-08-04 | The shared self-service dataset has editing permission and can be edited in the dashboard |
5.1.13 | - | The component edit interface allows you to continue editing existing self-service datasets & create and use new self-service datasets in the component edit interface if you already use the basic tables |
1.2 Application scenarios
When the user makes the dashboard for data display and analysis, he finds that the used self-service dataset lacks part of the analysis content, so he needs to further process the existing self-service dataset.
When the user uses the basic table to create a dashboard for timely analysis, he finds that the component he is creating lacks data and needs to create and use a new self-service dataset.
1.3 Function introduction
FineBI provides the function to quickly edit and create self-service datasets in a dashboard interface.
2. Example
2.1 Quickly edit self-service dataset
For visual analysis using self-created or shared "self-service dataset" with editing permission, click [...] , select "Edit self-dataset", as shown in the figure below:

Enter the self-service dataset editing interface, you can continue to edit the existing self-service dataset, as shown in the figure below:

After editing, you can continue to use the corresponding self-service dataset in the component edit interface.
2.2 Quickly create self-service dataset
When the user uses the "basic dataset" or the "self-service dataset" without editing permission for visual analysis, click [...] , select "Add Self-service Dataset", select "Package", as shown in the following figure:

Enter the self-service dataset creation interface, as shown in the figure below:

After creating the self-service dataset, the component edit interface is returned and the created self-service dataset can be directly used for visual analysis.
