The fields of the area to be analyzed can be displayed in the original order of the data table.

    1.2 Application scenarios

FineBI can realize data visualization and visual analysis for customers. Use various table and chart types to display the results of multi-dimensional analysis. The visualization components used by FineBI for data analysis include tables, charts, time filter components, text components, tree controls, and other diversified types, which can provide users with richer choices.

The above figure is the realized retention rate analysis, related documents can refer to: retention analysis.

    1.3 Function introduction

This chapter mainly introduces how to manage chart/table components, including adding components, editing components, deleting components, and copying components.

    2. Add components

    2.1 Create a new dashboard

    1) Log in to the FineBI data decision system (you need to be a BI editor user), select "Dashboard> New Dashboard", create a new dashboard for data analysis, and name it as "Test0802", as shown in the figure below :1.png

    2) After clicking "OK", you can enter the editing interface of the newly created dashboard, as shown in the figure below:2.png

    2.2 Add components

FineBI can add three components to the dashboard, which are chart/table components, filter components and other components, which will be described in detail in the following chapters (see Chapter 6 of this article for details). Here is a brief introduction on how to add chart components.

Refer to the following table for detailed document introduction:

    Others

    Picture component

    Web component

    1) You can add components on the dashboard editing interface, there are three ways:

    • Click the "Add Component" button in the middle of the page.

    • Click the "Component + "button on the left side of the page. As shown below:

    3.png

    • Click the component "+" in the component bar on the left and drag it to the edit page to add the component to the specified position, as shown in the following figure:

    4.png

    2) After adding the component, select the data table to be analyzed. Under the corresponding business package, select the data table for data analysis, and click "OK" when finished. As shown below:5.png

    3) Click "OK" to enter the component setting interface. The detailed setting of the component will be introduced in the subsequent chapters. The detailed setting interface is shown in the figure below:6.png

    A

    Light purple area.

The "to be analyzed area" stores the fields to be analyzed. During analysis, you can drag the fields into the analysis area to create a chart. At the same time, you can switch the data table used for analysis and create calculation fields.

    B

    Light yellow area.

Except for the area to be analyzed, other areas of the component editing interface are all analysis areas.

The analysis area can be used to make graphs and adjust graph styles: including setting component titles, selecting graph types, data filtering, result filters, and setting graph properties.

    C

    Light red area.

The preview area of the chart. "View all data" button description see document: component view all data.

    D

    Light green area.

Drag the fields of the "to be analyzed area" into the "analysis area", and you can use these fields to make graphics.

2.2.1 Set the display order of the fields

Sometimes, the user has adjusted the sequence of the fields when making the data table, and hopes to use the field sequence display that has been done in the data table to facilitate subsequent data display.

Support setting the display order of the fields in the area to be analyzed. By default, they are displayed according to the field type, that is, they are arranged in the order of "Field Grouping", "Date", "Text", "Value", and "Calculation Indicator", as shown in the figure below:7.png

If the user needs to arrange the fields in the source data table of the components produced in BI, switch to "Not Sorting", as shown in the following figure:8.png

    2.2.2 Add calculated field

If users want to continue data processing in the dashboard and add calculated columns, they need to use calculated fields. For details, see: Adding calculated fields

    2.3 Making components

Users need to select the chart they want to make first, and then drag the field into the analysis area.

For example: select "Multi-series column chart" and drag the fields "SHIPPORT" and "PAID" of the area to be analyzed into the analysis area, as shown in the following figure:

Note: When selecting the field to be analyzed, hold down the ctrl/command or shift key to select multiple fields at the same time and drag them into the analysis area together.

    2.4 Component beautification

Set the graphic properties and component styles to beautify the components, as shown in the following figure:

For details, please refer to the document: Chart Properties and Chart Component Style.

    2.5 Effect view

The finished component is as shown in the figure below:

    13.png

    3. Edit components

If you want to enter the component detail setting page to edit the component on the dashboard edit page, there are two ways:

    • You can select the edited component and you can see that there are multiple operation buttons in the upper right corner. Select "14.png>Edit", as shown in the figure below:

    15.png

    • Click the component, select the button16.png, as shown in the figure below:

    17.png

    4. Remove components

There are two ways to delete a component that has been made, namely in the component detail setting interface and the dashboard editing interface.

    • To delete on the dashboard editing interface, click on the component and select "14.png>Delete", as shown in the figure below:

    18.png

    • Enter the component detail setting interface, touch the component name with the mouse, a "Delete" button will appear, click to delete the component. As shown below:

    19.png

    5. Copy components

If you want to copy an identical component in the dashboard, you can use the copy function. The composite filter component, query component, and reset component do not support replication. If the copied component has custom linkage, its custom linkage configuration will be retained.

If you want to reuse components of other dashboards, please refer to: Component Reuse.

There are two ways to copy:

    • Copy it on the dashboard editing interface. Click on the component and select "14.png>Copy", as shown in the figure below:

    20.png

    • Copy in the component editing interface, as shown in the figure below:
