When users want to compare the data in the table, they need to visualize the data to achieve the purpose of visual observation. This visualization method is called data bar. As shown in the figure below:

Data bar setting is supported for grouping tables and cross tables, but not for detail tables and charts.

2. Operation steps

2.1 Open data bar

In a grouping table or crosstab, click "drop-down" → "open data bar" of one indicator field, as shown in the following figure:

2.2 Set the data bar

Click "drop-down" → "open data bar"，as shown in the following figure:

Description of system default settings:

• When there are only positive values in the cell: the maximum value data bar fills the cell, the minimum value data bar is 0, and the length percentage of other values = (x-minimum) / (maximum - Minimum).

• When there are only negative values in the cell: the minimum value data bar fills the cell, the maximum value data bar is 0, and the length percentage of other values = (x-minimum) / (maximum - Minimum).

When there are both positive and negative values: negative values are displayed in red with the 0 line to the left, and positive values are displayed in green with the 0 line to the right.

0 line = (0 - min) / (max - min), the range is [0,1], greater than 1, it takes 1, less than 0, it takes 0, 0 corresponds to the leftmost cell, and 1 corresponds to the rightmost cell;

• The position of the value = (x-min) / (max-min), the range is [0,1], greater than 1 takes 1, less than 0 takes 0, and the data bar is between the value and the 0 line.

Note:

1) The "maximum" and "minimum" here are the maximum and minimum values of the latest results in the analysis area.

2) After the user defines the maximum value and minimum value, the user-defined maximum value and minimum value are used in the above formulas.

2.2.1 Set the maximum / minimum value

Set the minimum value to 2000 and the maximum value to 5000, as shown in the following figure:

2.2.2 Set the color

Since this example has only positive values, set the positive value color to purple, as shown in the following figure:

The effect is as follows:

2.2.3 Hide the numbers and display only data bars

Click "show only the data bar", as shown in the following figure:

The number is hidden and only the data bar graph is displayed, as shown in the following figure:

3. Precautions

• The set data bar is not effective for the summary line, but only for the indicator corresponding to the innermost dimension.

• Null does not participate in data bar calculation.

• If there is "infinity" or "infinitesimal" in the value, and the maximum and minimum values set include them, all data of the indicator will not be displayed in the data bar.

• If all values are the same, the data bar is not displayed.

• Check the open data bar. Under these circumstances, data bars are not drawn for all indicators: ① the data contains infinite values; ② All indicators are equal; ③ All indicators are less than the minimum value of the data bar set.
