Field type conversion

1. Overview

1.1 Expected effect

Sometimes users need to convert a "text" field to a "value" field type, for example, they need to convert a "purchase quantity" text field to a value field, as shown in the following figure.

Note: Directly connected version, need to upgrade to 5.1.10, otherwise it does not support field type conversion in New column.

1.2 Implementation idea

Just use the self-service dataset "New column" and modify the field type.

2.1 Create a self-service dataset

Add the self-service dataset and select  "purchase quantity" text field and other fields under the corresponding dataset, as shown in the following figure.

2.2 New column

Click "+" to add "New column", as shown in the following figure.

Name the field name "purchase quantity-value", select the "purchase quantity" field under "text field", click the field type, select "value", and click "OK", as shown in the following figure.

Note: The functions and fields in the formula box need to be selected by clicking the selection area on the left, and cannot be entered manually.
