Dynamically display the data before and after the filter component value

1. Overview

Sometimes users need to display not the data corresponding to the setting conditions of the filter component, but the data before and after the filter component conditions. In this case, the filter component cannot simply be used for filtering.

1.1 Expected effect

Example 1: Using the "Year-Month" filter component, when a certain filter condition is selected, display the data of the current year before the time of the year.

For example, when the filter condition of the selected year and month is "October 2014", the data will be displayed as the data of "January 2014-October 2014", as shown in the following figure:

Example 2: By default, the data 15 days before the current time is displayed. After the filter condition is set for the date filter component, the data also displays the data 15 days before the filter condition.

For example, the current time is displayed by default, that is, the data 15 days before "2021-08-13". If the filter condition is "2020-12-01", the data 15 days before "2020-12-01" will be displayed. As shown in the figure:

1.2 Implementation ideas

Create a chart and add a filter component without dragging the time field to the filter component setting box.

In the chart, perform "Detail Filtering" on the indicator fields that need to be displayed in the chart, and set the filter conditions.

2.1 Create a chart and add a time filter component

Create a dashboard and create a component, add the "Contract signing time" and "Contract amount", and then add the "Year-Month" filter component, as shown in the following figure:

2.2 Detailed filtering of the contract amount

Select "Contract amount" and set "Detail Filtering". Since the time period that needs to be displayed is the current year data before the filter component value, the filter condition is "SomeDateBefore" and "All Year", as shown in the figure below:

3.1 Create a chart and add a time filter component

Create a dashboard and create components, add "Time" and "Transaction amount", and then add "Date" filter component, as shown in the following figure:

3.2 Detailed filtering of transaction amount

Select "Transaction amount" and set "Detail Filtering". Since the time period that needs to be displayed is the data of 15 days before the filter component value, the filter condition is "SomeDateBefore" "Curr.D", and "SomeDateLater" "15DayBeforeCurr.D". As shown in the following figure:

3.3 Set dynamic time for filter components

Since it is necessary to open the dashboard to display the data 15 days before the current time by default, click the filter component, select "Dynamic", set it to the "Curr.D", and click "OK". As shown in the following figure:
