Filter Weekday Time Data

1.1 Expected effect

Sometimes users need to display only the data of weekday (Monday to Friday) in the FineBI dashboard, as shown in the following figure:

Note: The marked content of the interval color block in the figure is added to help users understand, and there is no such function in FineBI.

1.2 Implementation ideas

Since we want to filter out the data from Monday to Friday, but at the same time we want the dimension column to still be grouped by year, month, and day. Thus, we can use the result filter.

Use the result filter and set the grouping basis of the time field as "week", and set the filter condition as Monday to Friday.

Sample data: "FRDemo_Employe_copy".

2.1 Create a dashboard

Select "FRDemo_Employe_copy" and click "Create component", as shown in the figure below:

Select the location to create the dashboard and name the dashboard, as shown in the following figure:

2.2 Use result filter

Enter the component editing interface, and drag "Date of birth" and "Employee ID" into the dimension column and indicator column respectively, as shown in the following figure:

Since we want to filter out the data from Monday to Friday, but at the same time we want the dimension column to still be grouped by year, month, and day, you can use the result filter.

Drag the "Date of birth" into the result filter and set the grouping basis to "week", as shown in the following figure:

Filter the "Date of birth" and select the filter condition as the birthday belongs to "1,2,3,4,5", as shown in the figure below:
