Cross table refers to a more complex report composed of "row dimension", "column dimension" and "numerical area".

Users are mostly used to display the summary value of a field in the table and group them. One set is row dimensions-on the left side of the data table, and the other set of column dimensions-on the upper part of the data table. At the intersection of rows and columns, the "numerical area" can perform a variety of summary calculations on the data, such as summation, average, count, maximum, minimum, and so on.

The cross table structure is shown in the figure below:

Support multiple dimensions.

You can make reports with grouping rows and columns, and support the aggregation of indicators and other calculations.

Note: Try not to make a cross table with rows and columns exceeding 100 million.

2. Example

2.1 New a dashboard

Create a new dashboard, as shown in the figure below:

2.2 Add component

1) Click to add a component, as shown in the figure below:

2) Select "ORDERS" under "Package" to create a component, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Make cross table

Select "Crosstab" and drag "SHIPMETHOD" and "SIGNDATE" of the area to be analyzed into the row dimension; "PAYMETHOD" into the column dimension; "AMOUNT" into the indicator, as shown in the figure below:

Note: The table header field only displays the field name and value format, and does not display the grouping method, summary method, quick calculation method, and aggregation of the calculation indicator of the corresponding field.

2.4 Set field

Click the drop-down box of the SIGNDATE field, and choose to group and display by "Year", as shown in the figure below:

• Drag the fields into the row and column dimension bar to set again, such as sorting the data again, grouping and filtering the dimension fields in the grouping/cross-tabulation.

• The fields dragged into the indicator bar can be set again, such as summarizing, calculating, filtering, and setting the value display format of indicators, etc.

2.5 Set table properties

Table properties are to set the indicator text color in the table and the icon mark next to the text, including color and shape.

2.5.1 Set color

"Table Properties>Color" can set the indicator color within the specified range. For example, drag AMOUNT into the color bar under the table properties, and click the color bar to add a condition, and AMOUNT with a value between 2000000 and unlimited will be displayed in red, as shown in the following figure:

2.5.2 Set shape

"Table Properties>Shape" can set the icon mark next to the field, which can be set to display different marks and colors according to different conditions. For example, drag AMOUNT into the shape bar under the table properties, and click the shape bar to set the shape and value as shown in the figure below:

2.6 Set the component title

1) Select the text of the component "title" and set the title format. As shown in the figure below:

You can also set the "Component Style" of the table, including settings such as title, font, style, total rows/columns, format, background, and interactive attributes. Through these settings, you can adjust the display style of the table.

Click the corresponding dashboard under the dashboard, as shown in the figure below:
