1 Overview

This article introduces how to calculate the proportion in different scenarios.

2. Caculating the proportion of indicators

• The proportion of the indicator: that is, the percentage of a single value to the total value of the indicator. For details of the operation method, please refer to: Caculating Proportion.

• Calculate the proportion in the group: caculate the percentage of a single value to the total value in the group such as caculating sales of Product1 in Beijing as a percentage of total sales. For details of the operation method, please refer to: Proportion in Group  or  Calculating Proportion in the Group.

3. Caculate the proportion of dimensions

When counting a certain text/date field and calculating the proportion, the above method cannot be used because they are not numeric values. Therefore, it needs to be converted into indicators and then calculated for the proportion. For details, please refer to: Dimension Conversion into Indicators.

• Calculate the horizontal proportion of the dimension in the group: For example, calculate the proportion of "number of self-owned stores selling female brands" in "number of self-owned stores". The achieved effect is shown in the following figure. For details, please refer to: Calculation of proportion in the group-dimension.

4. Caculate the horizontal proportion

If you want to calculate the horizontal proportion of an indicator as shown in the figure below instead of calculating the vertical proportion, you can refer to: Calculate the horizontal proportion in the group.

Proportion of living halls: 0.66=3614113/(3414113+1840913); Proportion of fashion halls: 0.34=1840913/(3414113+1840913).
