Multi-dimensional scatter chart

1. Overview

1.1 Application scenario

Multi-dimensional scatter chart is a way to display scatter chart. When it is necessary to observe the correlation between multiple variables, it will be very cumbersome to draw simple scatter diagrams between them one by one.

At this time, the multi-dimensional degree can be used to draw the scatter diagram between their variables at the same time, so as to quickly find the main correlation between multiple variables, and overcome the difficulty of displaying high-dimensional data on the plane to a certain extent.

The following figure shows the relationship between sales profit and sales volume in each region:

1.3 Feature of chart

Advantages: the pairwise correlation of multidimensional data can be used to compare aggregated data across categories.

Disadvantages: the presentation space is limited, so it is not suitable to display the data with a percentage of presentation and the data with a small amount of data.

1) In the "Dashboard" interface, click "New Dashboard", enter the dashboard name and location information, then click "OK" to enter the dashboard editing interface, as shown in the following figure:

3) Select "AC-sales" in "My Packages" under "data list", and click "OK", as shown in the following figure:

4) Select "Scatter Chart" in "chart type", as shown in the following figure:

5) Drag the fields "area" and "sales volume" under the dimension of the region to be analyzed into the horizontal axis, and "hierarchical market" and "profit" into the vertical axis:

6) Drag the field "sales channel" under the dimension of the region to be analyzed into the "color" tag under "Graphic Properties" to create it successfully, as shown in the following figure:
