Set the table to be displayed as a picture

In business, users want to count the sales of some clothing. In order to facilitate the differentiation of specific products, users want to display the clothing pictures (pictures are stored in URL format) directly in the FineBI table.

1.3 Function introduction

FineBI provides the function of setting the content of the "form" to be displayed in the form of picture. Users can set the field with text type (the content of the field is the URL that stores the picture) to be displayed in the form of picture.

Note: Only setting the field with text type to display as picture is supported.

2.1 Data preparation

Upload the sample data to FineBI, as shown below:

2.2 Making a table

Create a component, select "group table", drag the "Name" field into the dimension column, and drag the "Sales" field into the indicator column. You can see that the actual content of the "Name" field is the URL where the picture is stored, as shown in the following figure:

2.3 Set to display in picture type

Set "Display Type>Show as picture" to the "Name" field, as shown in the figure below:

2.4 Effect view

Preview the effect on the PC, as shown in the figure below:

At the same time, the displayed picture can be clicked to enlarge and view, as shown in the figure below:

3. Matters need attention

• After the text field "display as picture", the settings of "custom grouping, Table properties>Dimensions>Color , Component style>table font" will not take effect, and will take effect after switching to "display as text".

• After the table is displayed as a picture, the linkage, jump, drill, sort, filter and other functions are still effective according to the text content, but only clicking on the non-picture area to trigger is supported. If there is no triggerable area, the jump and linkage cannot be triggered.

• If the table component displayed as a picture is  exported to Excel, the corresponding field displayed as a picture will be displayed as the original field instead of the picture.
