Interval column chart (box chart)

1.1 Application scenario

FineBI does not have a box chart temporarily. You can use a column chart to show the maximum and minimum ranges of the corresponding indicators as a simple alternative.

1.2 Preview effect

Use the interval column chart to display the monthly temperature interval, as shown in the figure below:

2. Steps

Sample data: 

Monthly_temperature.xlsx

Upload Excel to FineBI, as shown in the figure below:

2.1 Create component

1) Enter the corresponding business package under data preparation, and click "Create Component", as shown in the figure below:

2) Select "Stacked Column Chart" as the chart type, drag the "Month" to the horizontal axis, and the "Lowest" and "Highest" to the vertical axis, as shown in the figure below:

3) After stacking, the lowest temperature is in the lower half of the column chart. When the lowest is higher than 0 degrees, the color is set to transparent; when the lowest is lower than 0 degrees, it is set to blue. As shown below:

4) Set the color of the highest temperature to blue, as shown in the figure below:

2.2 Set tags

Add tags under the "Highest" indicator, as shown in the figure below:

And set the content as shown in the figure below:
