Tomcat Server Deployment

Tomcat is a free and relatively stable web application server, which is very popular in many small and medium-sized enterprises. This article will introduce how to deploy FineBI report projects to the Tomcat server side.

1. Version 

The supported Tomcat server versions and JDK versions are as follows. If the versions do not correspond, the server deployment will fail.

2. Notes

• Multiple BI projects cannot be deployed on the same Tomcat server.

• The installed JDK version must match the operating system. A 64-bit operating system can install a 32-bit JDK, but FineBI does not support such operations and must be unified.

1. Environment preparation

Users need to download and install JDK and Tomcat by themselves.

Note: If multiple Tomcats are installed in the user environment, it is not recommended to configure the user environment variable CATALINA_HOME or TOMCAT_HOME . Otherwise, no matter which Tomcat the user starts, the one specified by CATALINA_HOME will be started.

2. Specific steps

The log management that comes with the platform cannot clean up the log files in the %TOMCAT_HOME%/logs folder. The catalina.out file will take up a lot of disk space if it runs for a long time. It is recommended to clean catalina.out file regularly.
