    1.2 Application scenarios

Linkage can be realized, click on a component to realize dynamic data filtering of other components. For example, click USER0004 in the "User Access Frequency Table", and its information will be filtered out in the "User Information Table", as shown in the following figure:

    image.png

    1.3 Range of linkage

    • In the chart type, except for the detailed table that can only be linked to form linkage, other tables and charts can be linked in both directions; the filter component cannot achieve linkage; among other components, the text component can be linked.

    • When making a map or other non-axis chart, if the indicator field is not used, the chart in this case cannot trigger linkage either.

    • On the dashboard interface, click to trigger the linkage effect; the component editing interface does not support trigger linkage.

    • The linkage setting can only achieve linkage within the dashboard. If you want to realize the linkage between the dashboards, you can select to pass the value through the component jump, and realize the filter linkage between the dashboards during the jump. For details, see: Component Jump

    2. Example

    2.1 Making components

Create a new dashboard and make three components: user information table, channel information table, and user access count table, as shown in the following figure:

    image (1).png

For specific steps, please refer to: Overview of Visual Analysis

    2.1.1 Create Dashboard

Create a channel analysis dashboard. Click Dashboard, create a new dashboard, enter the information of the dashboard, and click OK. As shown below:

    image (2).png

    2.1.2 Create components

    1) Add components, create new unnamed components. As shown below:

    image (3).png

    2) Select the user information dimension table under the Internet industry business package to create the first component, and click OK.

    image (4).png

    3) Drag the data from the area to be analyzed into the dimension indicator column of the data analysis area, select the grouping table, select the component style to expand the row header node, and click + new unnamed component 1, as shown in the following figure:

    image (5).png

    4) Use the promotion channel dimension table under the Internet industry business package, drag the data of the area to be analyzed into the dimension indicator column of the data analysis area, select the grouping table, select the component style to expand the row header node, and click + new unnamed component 2 ,As shown below:

    image (6).png

    5) Select the access statistical fact table under the Internet industry business package, drag the data of the area to be analyzed into the dimension indicator column of the data analysis area, select the partition column chart, and click to enter the dashboard, as shown in the following figure:

    image (7).png

2.1.3 Adjust the display effect of the dashboard

Adjust the interface, click the drop-down button, edit the title, and change the default title to the user information table, channel information table, and user access times table, as shown in the following figure:

    image (8).png

    2.2 Turn on linkage

Select the component, click the drop-down> linkage setting, as shown in the figure below:

    image (9).png

    2.3 Set the linkage direction

There are two linkage methods, namely default linkage and custom linkage.

For the case where the data sets used by the components in the dashboard are different or do not have an association relationship, and the data set contains the same fields (if there is no same field, but the dependent field is set, the linkage result is empty), and there is a linkage requirement, Support custom linkage. This chapter will introduce the one-way linkage setting and the two-way linkage setting in detail.

Note: If the copied component has custom linkage, its custom linkage configuration will be retained.

    2.3.1 Default linkage

The linkage without adding dependent fields is called default linkage (equivalent to automatically adding linkage dependent fields, which are all fields in the data set).

    Linkage direction

    Linkage conditions

    Two-way linkage

The data set where the component is located is the same data set or there is a 1:1 relationship between the data sets where the component is located.

    One-way linkage

There is a 1:N relationship between the data sets where the components are located.

The default linkage supports modification to a custom linkage, and supports deleting and adding dependent fields of the custom linkage. For details of the steps, see section 2.3.2.

Note: The linkage transmission filter conditions in the interaction properties only support the detailed filtering conditions of delivery indicators by default.

    2.3.2 One-way linkage setting

    1) Turn on the linkage of the user access count table, click the non-linkable icon image (22).png to set the one-way linkage. As shown below:

    image (10).png

    2) After the one-way setting is completed, it becomes the one-way linkage icon image (23).png. Click the edit dependent field image (24).png to customize and edit the linked components. As shown below:

    image (11).png

Note: When the chart component linkage, set the component A to be linked to the component B. There must be an indicator field in the component A, otherwise the linkage will not take effect; the table component linkage does not need to have an indicator field.

    3) The linkage needs to add linkage dependent fields, otherwise linkage cannot be achieved. The default linkage is equivalent to automatically adding all the same fields in the data set as linkage dependent fields. We edit the dependent field of the user access count table, click to add the linkage dependent field, and edit the dependent field. The user ID and channel ID are the same fields and have been added automatically. Click OK after setting.

    image (12).png

    • Correspondingly dependent field types between linkage components need to be consistent. If they are inconsistent, a red prompt will indicate that linkage cannot be generated between components.

    • Correspondingly dependent fields between linkage components cannot be reused.

    • When you select a custom linkage, the system will automatically match the same fields of the data sets used by the two components (field types and field names are the same).

    • The custom linkage is only linked through the dependent field. If the dependent field is not involved in the analysis, the linkage is performed according to the current clicked content to match the detailed data of the corresponding dependent field.

    • When the data used by the component changes, for example, when the data table used by the user access count table component is replaced, all linkage dependencies related to the component do not take effect.

    2.3.3 Two-way linkage setting

If two components need to be linked to each other, you need to select the respective linked components; the linkage of the two components depends on the added fields to be consistent, modify one end, and the other end changes synchronously.

    1) Set the one-way linkage of the user's access frequency table, and the linked component is the channel information table. Click the non-linkable icon image (22).png to set it as one-way linkage image (23).png, click image (24).png to edit dependent fields, and click to select custom mode to add linkage dependent fields. Finally click OK. Complete the one-way linkage setting for the user access count table. As shown below:

    image (13).png

Click image (23).png to uncheck it to cancel the one-way linkage. For details, please refer to section 3.3 of this article.

    2) Set the linkage of the channel information table, click the non-linkable, reverse linkable icon image (25).png to turn on the two-way linkage. As shown below:

    image (14).png

    3) Consistent with the above steps, click image (24).png to edit the dependent fields, and click OK when the setting is over. As shown below:

    image (15).png

To cancel the two-way linkage, you need to edit the two associated components separately, and uncheck the linkage button. For details, please refer to section 3.3 of this article.

After the dashboard is finished, you can use the text component to make the dashboard title in the editing interface. Refer to the document: Quick Start for Business Personnel

    2.4 Effect view

For details of the effect, please refer to section 1.2 of this chapter.

    • The same main linkage component can only pass the filter conditions once, that is, the linkage effects triggered by the user in different areas of the component will replace each other. That is, the main linkage component has been linked through the A indicator. Click the B indicator of the component again, and the linkage filter conditions generated by the previous click on the A indicator will be replaced.

    • The same linked component can receive multiple filter conditions, and the filter conditions passed by different components to the linked component are in an "and" relationship.

    2.5 Dashboard View

For details of the completed dashboard, see: Channel Analysis

    3. Clear linkage

This section introduces users how to clear the linkage relationship and return to the initial state of the component or dashboard when the component that has the linkage relationship changes. Both the edit interface and preview interface of the dashboard can be cleared in the following two ways:

    3.1 Single component clear linkage

When clicking the main linkage component field to generate linkage, select the component and click the button image.png to clear linkage items to clear all linkages generated by the main linkage component, as shown in the following figure:

    image (16).png

3.2 Clear linkage of all components

Click the clear all linkage button to clear all linkages generated in the dashboard, as shown in the following figure:

    • Dashboard editing interface

    image (17).png

The dashboard preview interface can also choose to clear all linkage buttons, cancel all linkages in the interface, and the effect is as above.

The shared dashboard public link also supports one-click clearing of all linkage effects. For details, please refer to: Dashboard Create Public Link

    4. Cancel component linkage

Canceling component linkage is to cancel the linkage between components. Click the main linkage component, and the remaining components remain unchanged.

    4.1 Cancel all default linkages

In the JAR package of 2020-09-01, a function that can cancel all default linkages with one key has been added. Select More on the dashboard editing interface, uncheck to enable the default linkage, as shown in the following figure:

Note: Canceling the default linkage does not affect the customized linkage that has been set.

    image (18).png

    4.2 Manually cancel linkage

    1) Click to enter the linkage setting interface of the "User Access Frequency Table" component. The "User access times Table" can realize the two-way linkage with the "Channel Information Table"; click on the "User access times Table" to realize the one-way linkage of the "User Information Table". As shown below:

    image (19).png

    2) Uncheck the "User Information Table" and "Channel Information Table", click OK to complete the settings. After unchecking, clicking "User access times Table" cannot link the "User Information Table" and "Channel Information Table". As shown below:

    image (20).png

    3) Click to enter the linkage setting page of the "Channel Information Table", uncheck the "User access times Table", and the components are the same as the "User Information Table" and turn gray. After unchecking, clicking on the "Channel Information Table" will not be associated with the "User Visits Table". As shown below:

    image (21).png

"User information table" does not have a linkage relationship with "channel information table" and "user access times table". Therefore, all linkage relationships between components have been cancelled. The finished effect is to click on any component, and the remaining components will not change.
