When connecting FineBI and the database, the connection may fail because the corresponding version of the database driver is not built in the product. At this time, the user can use the "Driver Management" function to upload the corresponding driver. "Driver Management" uses hot loading. After uploading the driver, you can use the driver directly without restarting FineBI.

Enter FineBI, click "Manage > Data Connection > Data Connection Management > Driver Management", as shown in the following figure:

1. Upload database driver

1) Click "New Driver", enter the name to distinguish it from other drivers. Here we want to upload the PostgreSQL driver, which can be named "postgresql driver", as shown in the following figure:

2) Click "Upload Driver" to upload the database driver. As shown below:

Note: The database driver can be downloaded from the help file of the corresponding database, or provided by the database administrator.

3) Click the drop-down button, select a driver just uploaded, and click "Save", as shown in the following figure:

Note: If there are multiple driver jar packages and it is not clear which driver to choose, you can consult the corresponding database administrator.

2. Using the uploaded database driver

1) Click "New Data Connection" on the "Data Connection Management" interface to create a new PostgreSQL data connection, as shown in the following figure:

2) Select "Custom" for the driver, select the postgresql driver just uploaded in the drop-down at the back, and fill in other connection information. For details, please refer to Postgresql data connection . As shown below:

3) Click Test Connection, you can see that the database can be successfully connected, as shown in the following figure:

3. Delete the driver

To delete an existing database driver, you can enter the driver management interface and click the delete button directly, as shown in the following figure:
