FineBI Installation

1.1 System Requirement

FineBI supports installation on mainstream operating systems, but requires the operating system's CPU, JDK version, memory, etc.

Note: In addition to the operating systems listed above corresponding to JDK, some openjdks are also supported, such as Amazon, adopt, etc. Before installation, you need to confirm the CPU of the current operating system and the corresponding JDK version and manufacturer. JDK version requirements: JDK 1.8 and the minor version needs to be above JDK8u102. You can go to the corresponding manufacturer to download the JDK version for installation and deployment, otherwise it will not be installed correctly.

1.2 Installation Explanation

It is not recommended to run multiple BI projects on the same server at the same time. The process will fill up the memory, which may cause another project to be unusable, the machine will be stuck, the same browser access prompts the login timeout and other problems.

2.1 FineBI Download

Please contact technical support or region sales to obtain the installation package.

2.2 FineBI Install

1）Double click the FineBI installation package, and the installation wizard will be loaded. After the installation wizard is loaded, the following dialog box will pop up:

2）Click Next, the License Agreement dialog box pops up, select I accept the agreement. As shown below:

3）Click Next, The Select Installation Directory dialog box pops up, click Browser to select the FineBI installation directory. As shown below:

Note: It is not recommended to install FineBI on the system disk.

4）Click Next, A dialog box for setting the maximum memory will pop up. The default maximum JVM memory is 2048M, which is 2G. It is recommended that you set the maximum JVM memory to more than 2G. Note that the maximum JVM memory cannot exceed the native maximum memory. As shown below:

5）Click Next, The Select Start Menu Folder dialog box will pop up, check it according to your needs. As shown below:

6）Click Next, The Select Additional Work dialog box will pop up, select it according to your needs. As shown below:

7）Click Next, The Finish FineBI Installer dialog box pops up. If you tick Run FineBI and click Finish, FineBI will automatically start and the decision system settings page will pop up. Uncheck Run FineBI and click Finish, FineBI will not start automatically. As shown below:

There are two ways to startup FineBI：

Method 1：Click the shortcut on the desktop

Method 2：Click %FineBI%/bin/finebi.exefile to startup. As shown below:

The BI installation package itself is configured with the Tomcat server environment. Clicking this file will pop up the loading page, and then Tomcat will open the BI server. As shown below:

When the Tomcat server is started, the browser address will pop up automatically：http://localhost:37799/webroot/decision，Open the BI platform and enter the initialization settings, As shown below:

Note：http://localhost:37799/webroot/decision  is the default access address，we can adjust according to the actual situation.
