Partition column chart

1. Overview

1.1 Application scenario

The partition column chart is a column chart showing each classification index under the dimension side by side, and the effect is shown in the following figure:

1.2 Basic requirements

The basic requirements of the partition column chart:

1.3 Chart features

Advantage: Clearly compare the data gaps of different indicators in multiple dimensions.

Disadvantage: When there are many dimensional data, the readable effect of the chart is poor.

2.Example

2.1 Create component

1) Click "Dashboard", select "New Dashboard", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

2) Click "Add Component", select "ORDERS" under "Package", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

3) Drag the fields PAYMETHOD and SIGNDATE under the dimension to be analyzed into the horizontal axis, and drag the words AMOUNT and PAID under the indicator into the vertical axis.

4) Select the partition column chart under the chart type. After selecting the chart type, all the dimension fields will be placed on the horizontal axis, all the indicator fields will be placed on the vertical axis, and the vertical axis will turn on the indicators in parallel. As shown below:

Note: The partition column chart must have at least 1 dimension and at least 1 indicator field in the horizontal and vertical axis to be selected, otherwise the partition column chart under the chart type will be grayed out and cannot be clicked.

5) Click the drop-down box of the SIGNDATE (Year Month Day) field and select "Year Quarter". The completed chart is as follows:

2.2 Graghic properties settings

2.2.1 Color

After selecting the chart type, click the color under the graphic properties to set the column display color, as shown in the figure below:

2.2.2 Size

Click the size to adjust the column width and rounded corner, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Component style settings

Select the component style, click the axis to select the axis line type as a dashed line, as shown in the figure below:

At the same time, you can also set the legend, grid line, background, adaptive display, etc. of the component.

2.4 Field settings in analysis area

2.4.1 Dimension field settings

Click the drop-down box of the PAYMETHOD field, select the "Set the Category Axis", select the font style customization under the "Display axis tag", set the font size to 14, and click OK, as shown in the following figure:

Dimension field settings can perform operations such as chart sorting, chart grouping, chart filtering, and chart axis setting.

2.4.2 Indicator field settings

Click the drop-down box of the AMOUNT (Sum) and PAID (Sum) fields respectively, select the "numeric format", set the "Quantity Unit" to "Million", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

At the same time, you can set the chart summary method, the chart quick calculation, the chart value format, the chart special display, and the chart analysis line setting.
