Contrast column chart

1. Overview

1.1 Application scenarios

The contrast column chart, which is mainly used to show the comparative analysis of two indicators in the same dimension, so as to more intuitively see the contrast gap. The following figure shows the comparison of AMOUNT and PAID for each SHIPMETHOD. Pink represents PAID and blue represents AMOUNT. The comparison effect is shown in the figure:

The basic requirements for contrast column chart:

1.3 Chart features

Advantage: Clearly compare the data gaps of different indicators in the current dimension, and compare the two indicators most commonly used (with opposite meanings).

Disadvantage: Only applicable to data with few dimensions, not applicable to scenarios with too many dimensions.

2.Example

2.1 Create component

1) Click "Dashboard", select "New Dashboard", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

2) Click "Add component", select "ORDERS" under "Package", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

3) Drag the field "SHIPMETHOD" under the dimension of the area to be analyzed into the horizontal axis, and drag the fields "AMOUNT" and "PAID" under the indicator into the vertical axis.

4) Select the contrast column chart in the chart type, and the creation will be successful.

Note: The contrast column chart must have 1 dimension and 2 indicators in the horizontal and vertical axis to be selected, otherwise the contrast column chart under the chart type will be grayed out and cannot be clicked.

5) Drag the TargetName field under the dimension of the area to be analyzed into the color bar:

2.2 Graghic properties settings

After selecting the chart type, drag TargetName into the color, click on the color bar to set the display color of AMOUNT and PAID, AMOUNT is set to blue, PAID is set to pink, as shown in the following figure:

2.3 Field settings in analysis area

1) Click the drop-down under the AMOUNT and PAID fields respectively, select "Set the value axis", check "Axis Scale Customization", click the maximum value setting, enter 5000000, and click OK

2) Click the drop-down under the AMOUNT and PAID fields respectively, select "numeric format", click the "number unit" to set "Million", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

At the same time, you can set the chart summary method, the chart quick calculation, the chart value format, the chart special display, and the chart setting analysis line.
