    1.2 Application scenario

The user can change the style of the component by adjusting the component style of the graphic component and doing some beautification of the component.

    1.3 Function introduction

The graphical component can set whether the title is displayed, legend, axis, horizontal grid map, vertical grid map, background, adaptive display, and interactive property setting styles, as shown below.

Note: The Show checkbox on the right side can set whether the corresponding style is displayed in the component.

    2. Title

Consistent with the form setting title, see: Component Title for details

    3. Legend

Generate legend requirements: Add fields to Color, Size, Shape, Heat Color, Radius in the graphic properties to generate the corresponding legend.

The legend settings are shown in the following figure.

    image (1).png

    3.1 Display the legend

When a user creates a chart and drags in multiple fields to the graph properties, the legend will be displayed for each field. If you don't want to show all the legends due to visual effects or other reasons, you can uncheck the corresponding graph properties. As shown in the figure below.

Note: If no graphic properties are checked under "Show Legend", the legend will not be displayed.

    3.2 Title

When there is only one legend, the meaning of the legend is clear enough, and you don't want to show the legend title, you can uncheck the "title" button after the display. As shown in the figure below.

Note: Versions 5.1.14 and later support modifying the legend title by changing the field name after dragging in the color, size, shape, etc.

    3.3 Font

Users can choose the system "Auto" font settings, or "Custom" the font size, thickness, etc. After customizing the legend font, the effect is shown as follows.

    image (5).png

    3.4 Border

The border is " transparency " by default, and the user can set the color of the legend border, as follows.

    image (6).png

    3.5 Location

Users can customize the location of the legend display by clicking on the "up", "under", "left" and "right" as shown in the following figure.

    image (7).png

    3.6 Legend order

The order of the legend is consistent with the ordering of the fields, and users can sort them according to their own sorting needs.

1)For example, if you want to reorder the legends in this example, you can sort the legend field "year" by "quantity". Click on "drop down > descending order > quantity" as shown in the following figure.

    image (8).png

The order of the legends changes after sorting, as shown in the following figure.

    3.7 Other descriptions

5.1.14 and later, after setting the relevant setting items of the legend, if the chart type is switched, whether the previously set legend is retained is as follows.

    1) The original charts were custom charts.

    • Switch the chart type under "Graphic Properties", the legend is kept.

    • Switch the chart type at the top of "Graphic Properties" under "Chart Type", the legend is not preserved.

    2) The original chart is not a custom chart.

    • Switch the custom chart under "Graphic Properties", and the legend is kept.

    • Switch to other non-custom charts under "Chart Type" above "Graphic Properties", and the legend is not retained.

    4. Axis

The axis lines refer to the partition lines and coordinate axes.

Users can customize the line type (dashed or solid), line width, and line color of the axis lines as shown in the following figure.

Note: Uncheck the "Show" button of the axis line, then the axis line is hidden.

    image (10).png

    5. Horizontal grid lines

Grid lines are auxiliary lines that help the user to easily view the data and are extensions of the scale lines on the coordinate axes. When the vertical axis is an indicator, the chart can be set up with horizontal grid lines.

Same as "Axis" setting, horizontal grid lines can be set to display or not, line type, line width and color, as shown below.

Note: Uncheck the "Show" button to hide the horizontal grid lines.

    image (11).png

    6. Vertical grid lines

The vertical gridlines are similar to the horizontal gridlines, they only appear when the horizontal axis of the chart is an indicator field. The vertical gridlines can also be set for line type, line width and color in the same way as the horizontal gridlines. The following figure shows.

Note: Uncheck the "Show" button to hide the vertical grid lines.

    image (12).png

    7. Background

Users can replace the "title background" and "component background", and users can choose "color" (transparent is optional) or upload the component's background "picture".

For example, setting the title color to yellow and setting the component background to picture, the effect is shown as follows.

Note: There is no requirement for the size and pixel of the background image to be uploaded.

    image (13).png

If the component is a map component, the "Component Background" can not only set the color and upload background, but also choose whether to set the GIS background (there are 9 built-in GIS backgrounds that can be selected), as shown in the following figure.

Note: See the document: GIS Background for details on GIS background

    8. Adaptive display

Adaptive display is the place to set the chart adaptive way in the component, including four adaptive ways: standard adaptation, overall adaptation, width adaptation and height adaptation, the default is standard adaptation. As shown in the figure below.

    • Standard adaptation: the default effect set by FineBI according to the visually optimal scale.

    • Overall Adaptation: All areas of the chart are displayed in the preview chart, without scroll bars in both horizontal and vertical directions.

    • Width adaptation: the width direction of the chart (i.e., horizontal) is displayed in all areas of the chart preview, and the portrait takes the best proportions, so scroll bars may appear in the portrait.

    • Height adaptation: the height direction of the chart (i.e., portrait) is displayed in the preview area of the chart in its entirety, and the landscape takes the best proportions, so that scroll bars may appear in the landscape.

    9. Interaction properties

Interaction properties can set whether component linking and jumping pass the detail filter conditions.

    image (15).png

The interaction properties of the graphical components are the same as those of the tables, see Interaction Properties for details.
