Multi-layer pie chart

1.1 Application scenarios

Multi-layer pie chart refers to a pie chart with multiple levels and containment relationships between levels. Multi-layer pie charts are suitable for displaying complex tree-structured data with parent-child relationships, such as geographic area data, upper and lower levels of the company, time levels, and so on.

For example, the radian of different colors in the inner circle is mapped to the AMOUNT of each SHIPMETHOD, and the light-colored slices of the outer circle represent the AMOUNT of different SHIPPORT under the SHIPMETHOD. As shown below:

1.2 Basic requirements

The basic requirements of a multi-layer pie chart:

1.3 Chart features

Advantage: Suitable for quick display of multi-level data proportional distribution.

Disadvantage: Cannot display too many items. Due to its large size and the usual legend description, it takes up more space than other charts.

2.Example

2.1 Create component

1) Click "Dashboard", select "New Dashboard", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

2) Click "Add Component", select "ORDERS" under "Package", and click OK, as shown in the figure below:

3) Drag the fields SHIPMETHOD and SHIPPORT under the dimension to be analyzed into the horizontal axis, and drag the field AMOUNT under the indicator into the vertical axis.

4) Select the rectangular tree under the chart type.

5) After selecting this chart type, the dimension fields are added to the fine-grained in order, and the indicator field is added to the size attribute. Drag the SHIPMETHOD field to the color bar, as shown below:

6) Click the size under the graphic properties and select to switch to a multi-layer pie chart, as shown in the figure below. The default inner diameter ratio of the multi-layer pie chart is 50%.

2.2 Graghic properties settings

2.2.1 Color

Click the color to set the color interval displayed by SHIPMETHOD, as shown in the figure below:

Click the size to adjust the proportion of the inner diameter, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Component style settings

Select the component style, click "axis" to select the axis line type as a dashed line, as shown in the figure below:

You can also set the legend, grid line, background, adaptive display, etc. of the component.
