Gbase 8A data connection

1.2 Function introduction

GBase 8A is a column-store relational database management system with efficient and complex statistics and analysis capabilities, capable of managing terabytes of data. GBase 8A uses columns as the basic storage method and data operation object, combined with column data compression processing, parallel processing, snapshot concurrency control, fast indexing and other new data processing technologies, and has outstanding advantages in query, statistics, analysis, and batch loading performance. In this chapter, we will introduce how to connect to the GBase 8A database in FineBI.

 The GBase 8A database supports both the number drawing and the direct connection version.

2.1 Configuration information

2.2 Place the driver file

Download the GBase 8A driver package, and place the driver package under %FineBI%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\lib, and restart FineBI.

2.3 New data connection

1) Log in to BI, select Manage>Data Connection>Data Connection Management, click "New Data Connection", and select GBase 8A under all options, as shown in the figure below:

2) According to the configuration information provided above, enter the corresponding information of the database, and you can choose to fill in the advanced setting information (for related introduction, please refer to the configuration data connection), as shown in the following figure:

Note: The default encoding is "Auto". If there are garbled characters, you can modify the encoding corresponding to the current data connection.

3) Click "Test Connection", if the test connection is successful, it means that the database is successfully connected, as shown in the following figure:

2.4 Effect preview

After the test connection is successful, click the save button in the upper right corner, and the data connection is added successfully. As shown below:
