Dynamically display day/week/month/year data

  • Recent Updates: April 25, 2022
  • 1.Overview

    1.1 Expected Effect

If you enter "2018-06-01 in the date filtering component, the"LAST DAY AMOUNT", "LAST WEEK AMOUNT", "LAST MONTH AMOUNT", "LAST YEAR AMOUNT" will be screened (that is, amount of 2018-05-31, amount of the previous week before 2018-06-01, amount of the previous year 2017 will be screened), as shown in the figure below:

    1.2 Implementation ideas

    First add a date filtering component in the dashboard, do not add a drag-in field for the component;

Use detail filtering in the relevant fields of the component, bind the field to the value of the filter component, and set the filter conditions.

Note:  The field dragged into the date filter component can only filter the dragged field. When the date component is not dragged into the field, the filter value of the filter component can be turned into a parameter, and different fields can be filtered differently.

    2. Operation steps

    Sample data: "SalesDEMO>162orders".

    2.1 Add date filter component

    1) Create a date filter component on the dashboard, without dragging in any field, click "OK", as shown in the figure below:

    2.2 Create a group table

Add a new group table, copy multiple "AMOUNT" fields and name them as "LAST DAY AMOUNT", "LAST WEEK AMOUNT", "LAST MONTH AMOUNT", and "LAST YEAR AMOUNT", as shown in the figure below:

    2.3 Binding parameter filter value

Separately filter the fields of "LAST DAY AMOUNT", "LAST WEEK AMOUNT", "LAST MONTH AMOUNT", and "LAST YEAR AMOUNT", and bind the filter component values.

    1) Select "Detail Filtering" in the "LAST DAY AMOUNT" field, and add the condition of detail filtering "SHIPDATE" which belongs to the filter component "Date" as "1 day before all day", as shown in the figure below:

    2) Follow the same method as above to set filter conditions for the fields of "LAST WEEK AMOUNT", "LAST MONTH AMOUNT", and "LAST YEAR AMOUNT", as shown in the figure below:

    • "LAST WEEK AMOUNT"

    • "LAST MONTH AMOUNT"

    • LAST YEAR AMOUNT

    3) Add the filtered "AMOUNT" related fields to the indicator column of the component, and filter out the empty data, as shown in the following figure:

    2.4 Effect view

See section 1.1 of this article for details.

    3. Notice

If the date filter component is set to "year unrestricted", such as using the "year and month filter component" or the "year month interval filter component", and only set the month filter condition, the component field binding filter belongs to the date filtering component before XX time, the filter will be invalid.

For example: add a year month interval filter component, and set the following filter conditions for "Detail Filtering" for the "AMOUNT":

Then in the dashboard editing interface, set the "year month interval filter component", as shown in the following figure:13.png
