Counter

1. Description

When users use FineBI for data analysis, sometimes they need to count the number of customers, the number of orders, the number of branches, etc., and these are generally not directly recorded in the field under the table data of the database, then how to realize the statistics? FineBI provides a field "Counter" to record the number of records in the data table. At the same time, it can also switch the conditions that the record statistics rely on to realize the statistics of the number of different records.

2. Counter

After creating a new dashboard and component, enter the detailed component setting interface, and there is a "Counter" field under the indicator of the area to be analyzed on the left. As shown in the figure below, there is a "Counter" field.

Note: After the chart type is selected as a schedule, there is no "Counter" field, and the counter function is not supported.

3. Example of use

For example, if we want to count the number of customers of each country, we can use the counter function. Drag "COUNTRY" and "Counter" into dimensions and indicators of the component, as shown in the following figure:

The "Counter" will be based on the country to count the number of details corresponding to each country under the table, that is, the number of customers.

The "Counter" will depend on the total number of rows in the data table by default. You can also choose to switch the dependent conditions. The optional dependent conditions are consistent with the dimension fields contained in the data table, as shown in the following figure:

For example, if we choose to switch the "Counter" and let it depend on the "CITY", as shown in the following figure:

The"Counter" indicates the number of Cities where each country's customers are from, as shown in the figure below. For example, America's customers are from 2 different cities, and China's customers are from 9 cities.
