Storage of data tables

1.1 Definition

Grouping and business package are the data management methods of FineBI, which can be understood as folders. The relationship between grouping and business package is equivalent to the upper folder and the lower folder. The business package stores the data taken from the database by the user-defined data connection or the uploaded Excel data, which is the data that the user needs to use for analysis.

1.2 Purpose

The purpose is to facilitate the user to organize the data used, make the data in BI more structured, and at the same time enable unified authority management in the system.

1.3 Hierarchical structure

The basic structure of data preparation configuration in BI is as follows:

The business package fetches data from the database through the data connection defined by FineBI. The business package contains the data tables obtained by connecting to the database.

The data table of real-time data saves a series of SQL configurations for obtaining data connected to the database, and generates corresponding SQL statements to query the database during template analysis.

It has the following features:

• Data can come from multiple tables or multiple tables in multiple databases.

• The relation between the data is realized by the primary key table established by the database table. The relation between multiple tables can directly inherit the foreign key relationship between the database tables. At the same time, the relation between the tables can also be established manually.

• The table names and field names in the data service package can be escaped to become data that business personnel can understand. The escaped information can be directly used in comments in the database, or can be added manually.

• The data service package can set permissions and assign different permissions to different business personnel.

• The data service package can customize data, and there are many ways to add data.
