Configure External Database

1. Application Scenario

The Built-in Database of BI is HSQL database.

The HSQL database cannot be accessed by multiple threads. The cluster environment and the large amount of data may cause the instability of the HSQL database. It is suitable for local trial product functions.

The External Database is suitable for the official use of the platform.

Migration is based on existing old data. There are unpredictable problems in the migration process of old data, so customers can choose to migrate data or directly activate the new database.

2. Function introduction

After the BI system is configured with an external database, the stability of the BI system can be guaranteed when a cluster environment or a large amount of data is encountered.

The user can configure the external database at "Initial Time" or configure the external database "In the Platform". Except for the different methods, these two configuration methods have the same specific configuration requirements and steps.

The types and versions supported by the external database are shown in the following table:

Note: It is recommended to select MySQL and Oracle databases as external databases.
