Dashboard Public Link Sharing Permission

2. Function introduction

The public link feature allows all users to make their own dashboards public, which can lead to internal data leakage.

Therefore , FineBI has added the management of public link permissions. When public links are required, the corresponding users can be configured with permissions to facilitate management.

Note: Only super administrators can assign this sharing permission to users, and secondary administrators cannot assign this permission.

Example in this chapter: Assign the sharing permission of "Dashboard Public Link" to user eoco , so that eoco can generate a public link for the dashboard made by itself and share it with anyone.

1. Assign sharing permissions

Log in to the data decision-making system with Super Manager, click "Manage > Permission >General permission onfiguration", and select the rights carrier "Department/Role/User". In this example, select the user eoco .

Select the "Share Authorization" tab to configure the "Use" permission of "Dashboard public link" for eoco , as shown in the following figure:

2. Generate public links

User eoco logs in to the data decision system and clicks "Dashboard" to create a public link to the dashboard , as shown in the following figure:

• The created public link can be shared with anyone to view, regardless of whether they have permission to view the public link.

• But for security reasons, the generated public link does not support export.

If the administrator wants to cancel the permissions of the users who have been assigned permissions before, they can enter the permissions management and directly close the permissions, as shown in the following figure:

At this point, the public link previously created by the user will be invalid, and when accessing the link, it will display that the sharing has been cancelled or does not exist, as shown in the following figure:

When the administrator opens the permission to use the public link again, the corresponding link will take effect again.
