FineBI installation FAQ

When multiple users in the enterprise need to use a BI project, install BI on the server, the administrator starts BI, and other employees can access BI by entering the installation address in the browser (for example, http://ip:port number/ webroot/decision ), but if the BI project is closed, other users will not be able to log in to BI by accessing the IP address.

Therefore, deploying BI on the server can keep BI open 24 hours a day, and users can access BI through the IP address at any time, thus realizing the function of the system platform and meeting the business activity requirements of the overall work of the enterprise.

Log in to BI by visiting the BI installation address. After obtaining the installation address, enter it in the browser and jump to the BI login interface. If you can enter the login interface, the user's computer and the server can communicate smoothly.

There are two ways to install FineBI:

• Directly download the FineBI installation package that matches the operating system, and follow the steps in the FineBI installation and startup documentation;

• Using Web server deployment, the Web servers supported by FineBI include Tomcat , WebLogic , JBoss (Wildfly), and WebSphere . You need to deploy the Web server first and then deploy FineBI. Web container deployment has higher security and scalability.

 FineBI official website  includes Windows, Mac, and Linux versions, all of which have integrated Tomcat and jdk1.8. If you directly install the downloaded installation package version, you do not need to deploy jdk separately.

After the Linux installation package is uploaded to the server, you need to grant the execution permission to the installation package. The subsequent installation operations can be performed only after the currently logged-in user has the execution permission. The size of the installation directory is best to meet the size of its own data support, because the data storage path is under the project path of FineBI by default.

Whether it is the Linux installation version downloaded from the FineBI official website or deployed in a Web server, the Linux operating system does not require a graphical interface, and the command character interface can also be installed. After the installation is successful, it can generally be used normally. Only when the graph is exported, the graph needs to be called.

This problem needs to be checked whether FineBI has been installed before. Here, the path that was installed before is used to reinstall. If it has been installed, you need to completely uninstall the previously installed version and then reinstall it.

Reinstall a FineBI of the same version on the D drive, and then copy the ../webapps/webroot folder under the FineBI installation directory on the C drive to the same location to replace the original folder. After the migration, you need to update the data again.

In Linux system, you can directly use ps -ef | grep finebi to find out the FineBi process that has been started by the system. The process information description contains the path of FineBi installation.

After the installation is started, the FineBI interface reports an error of 61300110 Spider computing engine service initialization exception, check the %FineBI%/logs log, and the error is UnknownHostException. You can log in to the installation server, view the hosts file (Linux is /etc/hosts , Windows is usually under the C drive), and add the server IP and corresponding hostname.

Details of the error report scenario: The system reports an error when the installation starts, and the error message is An internal ereor occurred (error code: 34);

The reason for the error: The high probability is that the complete installation package was not downloaded;

Solution: Re-download the installation package to install.

FineBI is installed in Linux environment. During the installation process, Chinese garbled characters appear;

Solution: Xshell modify the character set to Unicode (UTF-8), then re-upload the installation package and install it. As shown below:
