Traditional or English data map matching problem

1 Overview

1.1 Problem description

When customers use traditional or English data tables to create map components, they cannot match the maps that come with BI.

1.2 Solutions

There are two solutions: map JSON file preprocessing or manual matching.

2. Method 1: JSON file preprocessing

The map JSON file is saved under the path %FineBI5.1%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\assets\map\geographic, select the map JSON file to be used, and open it with a text editor.

• If you are using a traditional data table, copy all the contents of the file to the Simplified to Traditional Tool, convert the simplified text in the file content into traditional text, and then paste it into the JSON file.

• If you are using an English data table, you need to replace all the area names with the corresponding English names, which can be modified directly under Management System>Map Configuration>Geographic Information of the decision-making platform, as shown in the following figure:

3. Method 2: Manual match

When creating a geographic role, configure it manually.

1) Create the corresponding geographic role, as shown in the figure below:

2) The geographic role setting box appears, and there is a column of user data. After the matching column selects the drop-down, you can manually select the area corresponding to the map, as shown in the following figure:
