Display volume of the self-service dataset

Sometimes users may see only 5000 rows of data in the data preview screen, and after filtering, the calculation results are empty.

1.3 Implementation idea

FineBI provides default data volume display rows for better performance and faster calculation, this article introduces a self-service dataset display data volume description.

2. Displayed data volume

2.1 The number of calculation results displayed in the preview screen

1）The Self-service dataset is created for better performance and faster calculation, the default display in the data preview interface shows all calculated results of 5000 rows of data, the number of data items displayed can be manually modified. The following figure shows.

Note: This number is only the amount of data displayed in the preview screen after saving, use all data after making the dashboard.

2) When the new dashboard uses this self-service dataset data and enters the preview after the creation is completed and saved and the data is generated, all the data can be displayed, as shown in the following figure.

2.2 The number of calculation results displayed in the edit screen

When performing self-service dataset table processing operations, the first 5000 rows of the calculated results are displayed by default, as shown in the following figure.

Note: This is only a display of the number of rows of results, and does not mean that the calculation is also calculated using only the first 5000 rows.

The result of the calculation shows the self-service dataset type for the first 5000 rows of data.

2.3 The actual number of calculation results in the edit screen

Although there is a partial limit to the number of actual calculations in the edit screen of the self-service dataset, the full data is still used when creating the dashboard after saving the self-service dataset.

3. Cautions

3.1 Filter/Group summary calculation result is empty

Sometimes, if you do not use all data for calculation, you may not be able to select filter items when filtering or the calculation result is empty after filtering/grouping summary, you can continue the subsequent self-service dataset table operation and dashboard creation, and still display all data in the dashboard preview screen.
