Chart set value axis

1. Overview

1.1 Application scenarios

In most cases, the value axis is the vertical axis. When users need to configure the scale range, title and other items of the value axis, they can refer to this document.

1.2 Function introduction

Setting the value axis function can set the shared axis, axis label, axis scale, axis reverse order and logarithmic axis.

2. Steps

2.1 Set the value axis

1) The value axis can be set from the field dragged in from the indicator. In the horizontal and vertical axis, click the drop-down button of the indicator field to select "Set the value axis", as shown in the figure below:

2) Enter the value axis setting interface, as shown in the figure below:

2.2 Set a sharing axis

The default value axis is the left-value axis. If there are multiple indicator fields, the indicator fields can be shared on the same value axis, or the value axis can be displayed separately.

2.2.1 Steps

1) Switch the vertical axis to "indicator aggregation". By default, multiple indicator fields share the left-value axis by default, as shown in the following figure:

2) Do not change the default setting of AMOUNT, only set the sharing axis of PAID as the "right-value axis", as shown in the figure below:

2.2.2 Preview effect

The value axis of PAID is to the right, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Set the axis label

The axis label can be displayed by clicking "Display axis label" to choose whether to hide it, or to set the "text direction" and "font style". The setting method is the same as that in section 2.2.

2.4 Set axis scale

Axis scale customization can set the "maximum value", "minimum value" and "interval value" of the value axis label, and the input value can choose the maximum, minimum or average of the current indicator field, or directly enter the number, and also supports the calculation formula of adding operators. As shown below:

Note: If the chart value format is set to "10,000", "100 million" and other units in the chart value format, when setting the value axis, you still need to enter a value without a unit, such as 300000000. You cannot directly enter 300 as 300 million.

2.5 Set axis reverse

Check "Axis Reverse" means that the values of the axis labels in the chart are displayed in reverse order, as shown in the figure below:

2.6 Set logarithmic axis

Check "logarithmic axis" to use logarithmic scale, and then the axis labels will be drawn with powers of 10. As shown below:

2.7 Set the axis title

The setting steps are the same as the category axis, you can refer to: Set the category axis.

3. Precautions

If there are multiple series in the chart, after canceling the display of some series, it is possible that the value of the vertical axis cannot be changed dynamically. How can we achieve the dynamic change effect of the vertical axis in the figure below?

The vertical axis value cannot be changed dynamically because the maximum value of the vertical axis is customized, just cancel it, as shown in the figure below:
