The BI comes with ranking logic for tied rankings [with occupancy], so how to achieve the tied rankings [without occupancy] as shown below?

If you want to perform the ranking, you can directly perform the operation in Section 2.1.2 on the original data.

1.2 Implementation idea

We divide the same value into groups and rank the grouped data. Finally, use the left-right merge to integrate the grouped data with the original data, and get the ranking result without occupancy.

2.1 Data Processing

Upload the data to FineBI, add the self-service dataset, and select fields.

2.1.1 Group the same values into one group

Add "Group Summary", drag the field "Cost" into the grouping column as shown below.

2.1.2 Rank the value after grouping

Add a new column "rankings", as shown in the following figure.

The "COST" after grouping are all unique values, rank the unique values.

2.1.3 Merge left and right

Perform a left merge with the table "FRDemo_Products" , as shown in the following figure.

1) Select the merged table "FRDemo_Products"

Add left and right merge and select the fields of the "FRDemo_Products" table, as shown in the following figure.

2）Select the merge method as left merge, and depend on the "COST" field. As shown in the following figure.

3) Save and update the self-service dataset.

2.2 Create a detailed table

Use this self-help data set to create a detailed table and arrange the "Rank" in ascending order, as shown in the following figure.
