APACHE KYLIN data connection

Apache Kylin is an open source distributed analysis engine that provides SQL query interfaces and multidimensional analysis (OLAP) capabilities on Hadoop to support ultra-large-scale data. It can handle terabytes or even petabytes of analysis tasks, and can query huge data of Hive tables in sub-seconds, and support high concurrency.

This article describes how to connect to the Apache Kylin database in FineBI.

2.1 Configuration information

2.2 Steps

1) Download the driver of Apache Kylin, and place the driver under %FineBI%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\lib, and restart FineBI.

2) Log into the data decision system, select "Manage>Data Connection>Data Connection Management", click "New Data Connection", and select "APACHE KYLIN" under "All", as shown in the following figure:

Note: If a non-administrator user wants to configure a data connection, the administrator needs to assign the authority to the "Data Connection" under the "Manage". For specific operations, please see: Data Connection Control.

3) According to the configuration information provided above, enter the corresponding information of the database, and you can choose to fill in the advanced setting information (for related introduction, please refer to: Configure Data Connection), as shown in the following figure:

4) Click "Test Connection", or click "Click to Connect Database" under the "Pattern", if the test connection is successful, it means that the database is successfully connected, as shown in the following figure:

5) After the test connection is successful, you can select the pattern, and select the corresponding pattern according to your needs. If you do not select, the first mode will be the default. As shown below:

6) After the pattern is selected, click "Save" in the upper right corner, and the data connection is added successfully. As shown below:

3.1 Jet lag

1) Problem description

No matter where the time zone is set, kylin will force the data to be set to Greenwich Mean Time, so there is always a time difference of 8 hours. For example, the query result of kylin is 2018-01-01, and the query result obtained by fetching the number is 2017-12-31.

2) Solution

Adding 8h in the SQL statement manually.
