DERBY data connection

Apache Derby is a perfect memory database written in 100% Java. It is an easy-to-manage relational database management system that can be delivered with the characteristics of some commercial products. And it is a platform-independent database engine, which provides external services in the form of a Java class library. Different from other databases that are difficult to deploy, the Derby database is small in size and very easy to install. You only need to copy its *.jar file to the system and add the *.jar file to the user's project. The following describes how to connect to the Derby database in FineBI.

2.1 Configuration information

Note: For non-local use, you need to use the command to open the remote service: such as NetworkServerControl start -h 192.168.5.175 -p 1527

2.2 Connection steps

• Download the Derby driver compression package, unzip it to %FineBI%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\lib, restart FineBI;

• Log in to the data decision system, select Manage>Data Connection>Data Connection Management, click "New Data Connection", and select "DERBY" under all options, as shown in the following figure:

• According to the configuration information provided above, enter the corresponding information of the database, and you can choose to fill in the advanced setting information (for related introduction, please refer to the configuration data connection), as shown in the following figure:

• Click “test connection”, or "click to connect database" in the pattern, if the test connection is successful, it means that the database is successfully connected, as shown in the following figure:

• After the test connection is successful, you can select the pattern, and select the corresponding pattern according to your needs. If you do not select, the first pattern will be the default. As shown below:

• After the pattern is selected, click the save button in the upper right corner, and the data connection is added successfully. As shown below:
