Dashboard undo/restore

    1.2 Application scenario

    Users often do a lot of exploratory operations when dashboard analysis is displayed, or sometimes by mistake, and need to return to the previous step, when they can return to the dashboard to undo, or directly in the component editing interface to undo.

    1.3 Function introduction

    FineBI provides undo and restore functionality for dashboards and component editing screens.

    2. Component editing interface

    2.1 Create a component

    1)Go to the "Dashboard" Tab, click "New Dashboard", click "OK", as shown in the following image.

    2)Click "Add Component" and select the corresponding data table, click "OK" to enter the component editing interface, as shown in the following figure.

    2.2 Perform an undo operation

    1)The first time you enter the component edit screen, there is no reversible/undo operation, so it is grayed out and displayed as shown below.

    2)Add "ODERID" to the horizontal axis, add "PAID AMOUNT" to the vertical axis, select the chart type as "Partitioned Line Chart", you can see that the undo option is not grayed out clickable, as shown in the following figure.

    3)Click "Undo" and the previous operation to select the line graph is cancelled, as shown in the following figure.

    2.3 Perform a restore operation

    1) At this point, the "Restore" button is not greyed out, click "Restore", restore to the previous step, and the "Partitioned Line Chart" is selected again, as shown in the following figure.

    2.4 Undo and restore multiple components

    2.4.1 Multiple components undo

    1)Create two components and set the linkage effect, click "Component 2", "Component 1" linkage effect as shown below.

    2)Clicking on "Undo" in component 1 restores the data to the effect it had before the linkage was set, as shown in the following figure.

    2.4.2 Multiple components restore

    Delete Component 1, click "Undo" in Component 2, and Component 1 is added back, as shown in the following figure.

    2.5 Dashboard access to component screens

    From the Dashboard Edit screen, go to the Component Edit screen and gray out the "Undo"/Restore button, as shown below.

    3. Dashboard editing interface

    3.1 Performing an "Undo" and  "Restore" operation

    Enter the dashboard edit screen and click "Undo" to undo the previous step, as shown in the following figure.

    Note 1: Refreshing the dashboard, the Undo and Restore buttons will be grayed out and displayed.

    Note 2: If you make dashboard-style settings but do not click "OK", undo/restore is not available.

    4. Cautions

    4.1 Button graying

    After entering the edit screen from the dashboard preview screen, the "Undo"/"Restore "button is grayed out, as shown in the following figure.

    4.2 Dashboard controllable component interface

    After adding the contract amount field in the component editing screen, enter the dashboard editing screen, as shown below.

    Click "Undo" to undo the previous step, as shown in the following figure.
