The admin can manually add users individually and configure user information.
The admin can delete and disable users and edit user information.
The admin can reset passwords for users who have forgotten passwords or whose passwords have been compromised.
Log in to FineDataLink as admin, choose System Management > User Management, click Add User, configure user information, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
The following table describes each setting item.

FineDataLink of V4.0.30 and later versions does not allow the following characters and keywords:

Command execution keywords: getRuntime, ProcessBuilder, and java.lang.ProcessImpl
Note:
Since you cannot modify saved usernames, set usernames carefully.
Name
Enter the name of a user. Duplicate names are allowed.
FineDataLink of V4.0.30 and later versions do not allow the following characters and keywords:
Password
Set the user password.
Mobile
Optional
(Recommended) Bind a phone number to the user account for the user to receive notifications, verification information, and other messages.
A valid phone number is required.
You can bind phone numbers from Mainland China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
For countries and regions including Taiwan (China), South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia, you do not need to add the number 0 after the area code or before the phone number.
Mailbox
(Recommended) Bind a mailbox to the user account for the user to receive notifications, verification information, and other messages.
The email address can contain number signs (#) and ampersands (&).
Dept.-Posit.
You can select multiple departments and positions in the dropdown list. The selected ones will be ticked.
Synchronized departments and positions are not shown in the list.
Subordinate admins can select only departments and positions within their permission scope. Other options are grayed out and will trigger a system message upon a click: "You do not have permission for this node."
Role
You can select multiple existing roles.
Synchronized roles are not shown in the list.
For the user added manually, both the admin and the user can edit user information.
For users added manually, you (as admin) can edit their information and roles. Click OK after editing, as shown in the following figure.
The username cannot be modified.
The following characters and keywords are not allowed: Illegal characters: half-width quotation marks (""), brackets (<>), and ampersands (&)
You can reset passwords for users who have forgotten their passwords here.
Click Generate User Password. The system will automatically generate a new password.
Click Copy Password to copy the new password and send it to the user.
Click OK to confirm the modification.
You can configure departments and positions when editing user information.
You can click Clear to clear all the departments and positions set for the user.
You cannot configure, untick, or clear synchronized departments and positions of a user.
You cannot configure, untick, or clear departments and positions beyond your permission scope.
As the user added manually by the admin, you can log in to FineDataLink, click the icon in the upper right corner and Account Setting, and modify Name, Mobile, Mailbox, and Password, as shown in the following figure.
A valid email address is required.
You can reset your password.
Enter the old password first and your new password twice and click OK.
Users added manually are enabled by default.
You (as the admin) can click the icon and OK to disable a user, as shown in the following figure.
1. Users who have already logged in to FineDataLink will be forcibly logged out once disabled. A prompt will be displayed, saying "The current account is no longer available. If you have any questions, contact the administrator." as shown in the following figure.
2. Disabled users who have not logged in to FineDataLink will trigger a prompt "Username Unavailable" upon login, as shown in the following figure.
You can delete the manually added users one by one or in batches, as shown in the following figure.
Exercise caution when deleting users. Once a user is deleted, the user's permission and configuration will not be inherited by a user you newly added with the same username.
You can clear manually added and imported users with one click, as shown in the following figure.
The Clear List button will appear after you select one or multiple users. Clicking it will clear all manually added or imported users. Exercise caution when clearing the list.
