FineDataLink undergoes frequent updates to meet growing user demands. This necessitates a more convenient method for updating/upgrading the server.
FineDataLink provides both Online Update and Upload Update Package functions when deployed independently in an environment with internet access, as shown in the following figure.
The Online Update and Upload Update Package functions are only available for independently deployed projects with internet access, with the following limitations:
1. If the current version is earlier than V4.1.10.3, you can use Online Update to upgrade FineDataLink to V4.1.10.3. You are advised to contact technical support personnel to verify the JVM memory configuration and ensure sufficient task resources before performing the one‑click upgrade. For details about the configuration, see FineDataLink Deployment Environment Preparation.
In all other cases, the Online Update function is unavailable.
2. You are not advised to upgrade FineDataLink from V4.1.X to V4.2.X via Upload Update Package, as it essentially extracts the contents of the JAR package to Tomcat installation directory/webapps/webroot/WEB-INF/lib, whereas certain version upgrades require deleting specific JAR files before uploading new ones. For such upgrades, see Minor Version Upgrades Within V4.2.
3. Before using the Online Update or Upload Update Package function, ensure that the external network ports 443 and 80 are opened for update and upgrade purposes. For details, see FineDataLink External Network Address.
You are advised to back up the project before proceeding to ensure upgrade stability.
1. Back up scheduled tasks and the scheduling configuration.
For details, see Backup and Restoration.
2. Back up the JAR package.
Each time an update/upgrade is triggered, the JAR package is automatically backed up once. If the upgrade fails, you can restore the project using the backup. If the upgrade succeeds, you can delete the backup, as shown in the following figure.
Choose System Management > Intelligent O&M > Backup & Restoration, and click Update/Upgrade, as shown in the following figure.
Information of the current FineDataLink version and JAR package version is displayed, as shown in the following figure.
If the server is in an external network environment and Automatic Update Push is enabled (which is enabled by default), the system will automatically check for updates daily at midnight and push a platform message to the super administrator when a new version is available, as shown in the following figure.
If the current version is earlier than V4.1.10.3, you can click the Online Update button (which will be grayed out if the current version is already the latest online version) to upgrade FineDataLink to V4.1.10.3. Online Update is unavailable under any other circumstances.
The following is an example.
Click Online Update.
The system will automatically update the JAR package, as shown in the following figure.
Wait for the update to complete, and click OK.
Restart the project. For detailed steps, see Stopping/Restarting/Starting a FineDataLink Project. After the restart is complete, navigate to Update/ Upgrade and verify that the current version is V4.1.10.3, as shown in the following figure.
Upload Update Package allows frontend upload of JAR packages for updates and upgrades. You can obtain the JAR package of any desired minor version from technical support personnel for uploads and upgrades. This function is available from FineDataLink V4.1.7.2.
1. Obtain the required JAR package from FanRuan technical support personnel.
2. Click Upload Update Package, as shown in the following figure.
3. Upload the obtained JAR package, as shown in the following figure.
Click OK after the update is complete and restart the project. For detailed restart steps, see Stopping/Restarting/Starting a FineDataLink Project. After the restart is complete, navigate to Update/ Upgrade and verify that the current project version is the required version.
