Most companies set up multiple environments to isolate development, testing, and production when using projects.
The JAR packages and plugin versions across these environments must be completely consistent so that templates created in the development and testing environments can be successfully published to the production environment.
FineOps offers a Project Comparison function for you to identify differences in JAR packages and plugins between projects.
1. Select one project (hereinafter referred to as A).
Log in to FineOps as the admin, click Project Management, and click the O&M project A.
2. Select another project (hereinafter referred to as B).
Click Project Comparison and select B from the drop-down list of Project to Compare. The selectable options are other projects in FineOps. Click Start Comparison.
3. Check the comparison result.
It displays discrepancies in JAR packages between the two projects.
It is divided into three parts.
1. Exclusive plugins in the project A
2. Exclusive plugins in the project B
3. Plugins that exist in both A and B but with different versions/enabling status
Unmatched JAR packages and plugins between the two projects are displayed on the Comparison Result page, as shown in the following figure.
