    Application Scenario

As the project uptime increases, disk usage continuously grows, raising concerns about which files can be safely cleaned up.

    1. Many intermediate system files, which ultimately serve no purpose, are generated without consideration for disk space constraints and tend to accumulate without being automatically removed.

    2. Accumulation of such unnecessary files can degrade system performance and may eventually lead to system crashes.

    3. You want to keep the disk space used by the project low, but lack clarity on what can be safely deleted.

    4. Manual cleanup of logs and other files is time‑consuming. You require automatic cleanup mechanisms to reduce O&M time.

    Function Description

FineOps provides a Resource Cleanup function, enabling you to safely and conveniently free up disk space, which can prevent the loss of business files caused by accidental deletion and crashes caused by disk issues.

    1. It allows you to perform disk cleanup with efficient recommendations for removable files.

    2. You can set automatic cleanup logic for some files.

    3. The disk can be efficiently cleaned up to save disk resources and prevent disk crashes.

This section focuses on the manual cleanup function. For details about automatic cleanup, see Disk Cleanup.

    Cleanup Logic

The following table lists the disk cleanup content and logic.

    Disk Scanning

Log in to FineOps as the admin, and click the project that requires disk maintenance. Choose Business Tool > Resource Cleanup.

Select the files/folders to be scanned, and click Start Scanning to immediately start scanning for redundant files eligible for manual cleanup, as shown in the following figure.

    After the scanning is complete:

    1. You will be informed of the total size of cleanable files.

    2. You can expand the tree structure to view cleanable files.

    3. You can view the size of each file.
