    Application Scenario

Various scheduled tasks run in the background of FineReport and FineBI, such as BI table update tasks, timed scheduling tasks, and system tasks.

If these scheduled tasks lack systematic management, the following issue may occur:

    • If excessive scheduling tasks are executed within the same period, the system will be overwhelmed, and scheduling failure will even occur.

    • System tasks conflict with business tasks in timing, affecting normal business operations.

    • FineBI table extraction and updates are under heavy load, and users lack guidance on optimizing extraction settings.

    Function Description

You can log in to FineOps as the admin, click an O&M project, and choose Business Tool > Scheduling Management.

FineOps provides a Scheduling Management function to help you understand scheduling tasks and system load, facilitating the optimization of task configuration.

    Scheduling Load Overview

The system evaluates its scheduling load over the past 24 hours and displays it as load scores in Scheduling Load Chart and Load Detail Chart charts to provide a scheduling load overview.

    Function Description

    Scheduling Load Chart

Scheduling Load Chart displays the total calculated load scores at 30-minute intervals over the past 24 hours, presented in a column chart format.

Column colors indicate different load levels, where green indicates idle (0 to 39%), yellow indicates busy (40% to 79%), and red indicates heavy (above 80%).

    Load Detail Chart

Load Detail Chart displays scores for various load dimensions at 15-second intervals over the past half hour, presented in an area chart format.

Clicking a column in Scheduling Load Chart will switch the time period displayed in Load Detail Chart to that of the clicked column.

Load dimensions include CPU, Disk Read, Disk Write, Process Memory Load, System Memory Load, and Scheduled Task Volume.

A larger overlapping area indicates higher system load.

    Calculation Logic

Scheduling load is assessed based on two dimensions, namely the task volume and system load.

    iconNote:
In a cluster environment, the system scheduling load is calculated by aggregating data from all nodes, rather than analyzing individual nodes separately.

    1. Task volume dimension

Total number of scheduled tasks within the corresponding time period

    2. System load dimension

    • Duration of high CPU utilization as a percentage of total time

    • Duration of high disk read/write load as a percentage of total time

    • Duration of high memory utilization as a percentage of total time

    Scheduled Task Detail

Scheduled task details are displayed in a detail table format, where you can filter tasks and view task details.

    1. Filtering dimension

    Filtering DimensionDescription
    Time Range

    1. Details of tasks from the past hour are displayed by default.

    2. Clicking a column in Scheduling Load Chart will change the query time range in Scheduled Task Detail accordingly to display tasks running in the corresponding period.

Task DurationYou can filter for tasks lasting longer than X seconds.
    Task Type

You can select the required task type from the drop-down list.

Options include Task ScheduleExtracted Data CacheBI Update, and System Task.

    2. Content

    ContentDescription
Task NameThis column displays the names of task schedules, extracted data cache tasks, BI update tasks, and system tasks.
Task TypeThis column displays task types, including Task ScheduleExtracted Data CacheBI Update, and System Task.
Task Start TimeThis column displays the time when scheduled tasks start.
    Task End Time

This column displays the time when scheduled tasks end.

If a task is not completed, this field is empty.

    Task Duration

This column displays the time taken from the start to the end of scheduled tasks.

If the task is not completed, this field is empty.

    Load During Task Execution

This column displays the highest load levels during the scheduled task duration, which are highlighted in different colors, where green means idle, yellow means busy, and red means heavy.
