I. Description
The execution process of the report can be roughly divided into two steps: 1. Report calculation; 2. Page conversion.
Report calculation process: first read our SQL statement, transfer the complete SQL statement to the database server, and the database returns the data to the report server. The report server performs calculations such as data column expansion, summary, association, and formula calculation, and finally generates the report result.
Page conversion process: After the report calculation is completed, an XML page is generated, which needs to be converted to an HTML page to be viewed in a browser.
For this process, FineReport can be monitored in real time. The monitoring method is to set the log output level of the server to "general information", and you can see the time used in each step on the console.
II. Steps
1. Set the log output level
Open the designer, click File>Options>Advanced, select DEBUG in the Log Level Settings, as shown in the following figure:
Note: The export log storage location can be modified in the 'log export configuration', the default is stored in the %FR_HOME%\logs\fanruan.log file. For details, please refer to: Log Introduction
2. Open the template
Open the FineReport designer and open the built-in template: %FR_HOME%\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets\GettingStarted.cpt
3. Clear Log
Clear the log before clicking Paging Preview. As shown below:
4. Browser-side access to the report
Click Pagination Preview,enter the parameter conditions, and click query;
After the report is fully displayed on the browser, check the information in the log window:
From the log, we can monitor the execution of the report in real time.
