Example
This document introduces how to export a report through the example of exporting GettingStartedEN.cpt as a PDF file.
Template Opening
Open the report in the path %FR_HOME%\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets\GettingStartedEN.cpt.
Export
Choose File > Export and choose PDF from the shortcut menu. Since parameters exist in this template, a parameter dialog box will first pop up, as shown in the following figure.
Set parameter values and click OK. A dialog box pops up, as shown in the following figure.
Select a storage path and click Save. If the following prompt pops up, the export is successful.
Notes
If you export a template with parameters, a parameter dialog box will pop up. The system will export the template based on the parameter values set in the dialog box. If you set default values for parameters, the default values of parameters will be directly displayed in the parameter dialog box and the system will export data based on default values.
If you do not set default values for parameters in the template and do not set values in the parameter dialog box during export, the content in the exported file will be empty.
If you export a file dataset (Excel type), the field type of the whole column will be determined based on the type of the first field value. For example, if the first field value is 3299, the field type of the whole column will be considered as number. In this case, if text data exists in the column, the text data will not be recognized as number. Therefore, Nanning in the following figure will be displayed as 0 after the file dataset is exported.
To ensure all field values in the Region ID column are normal after export, you need to manually adjust the field type in the column to text.
