Vertically Grouped Report

2. Expected effect

Group report document introduces the simplest group report to readers, but the group report will also change. One common style is that the group title (group head) is not on the left, but on the top or below.

As shown in the figure below, the data is grouped according to the region field. After grouping, the region field serves as the group title and forms its own line. Such a report is called a vertical grouping report.

3. Implementation ideas

Through the parent-child setting, we know that when the data columns are in the same row, the parent-child relationship will be formed automatically. If the data columns are all from the same dataset, the affiliation will be formed automatically, resulting in grouping effect.

In the vertical grouping report, if the group head is in a single row and the data column is not in the same row, there is no parent cell relationship between the group head and the data, that is, other data columns will not use the region field as the filter condition.

Therefore, in such a grouping report, as long as the parent of the data field is reset to the group header field, the grouping effect will be produced.

2. Modify report style

Cut the fields of salesperson and sales volume to the next line. The template settings are as shown in the figure below. In this preview, you can see that the data is not affiliated with the group header. As shown in the figure below:

3. Setting the parent

1) In order to display the data in groups, select the salesperson data column cell B3 and set its left parent cell as the region data column cell A2, as shown in the following figure:

2) Set C3 cell data to summary and sum, as shown in the figure below:

3) The area field is used as the title of the group. In order to highlight the title, you can change the background color of the row where the area field is located, clickCell Attributes> Style > Cell, and set the background color to yellow as shown in the following figure:

Save the template and preview the page by page. The effect is shown in Section I.2.
