Overview
This document applies to users who have installed the FineVis Data Visualization plugin to learn FineVis functions.
Version
| Report Server Version | Plugin Version | Functional Change |
|---|---|---|
V11.0.16 | V1.x | |
11.0.16 | V2.0.0 | Added Carousel 3D Combination Map to the list of components affected by downgraded rendering. |
11.0.22 | V4.4.0 | Added the Enable Lazy Loading for Components option. |
Function Overview
1. During editing, you can enable downgraded rendering in Canvas Rendering, so that static images are displayed instead of dynamic components, thereby improving the editing performance of FVS dashboards.
Enable Downgraded Rendering for Components is selected by default. After the function is enabled, components do not change in real time and should be refreshed manually, as shown in the following figure.

2. Starting from the FineVis Data Visualization plugin of V4.4.0, the Enable Lazy Loading for Components option is added. After the function is enabled, during template previews, components outside the visible area stop being rendered until they are scrolled into view. This can help improve preview performance and loading efficiency.
Function Description
Function Entry
Open an FVS dashboard, click Template Setting in the upper-right corner to open the setting window, and select Canvas Rendering. Enable Downgraded Rendering for Components and Enable Lazy Loading for Components are selected by default, as shown in the following figure.
Note: For FVS dashboards created with the FineVis Data Visualization plugin of earlier versions, Enable Lazy Loading for Components is disabled by default after you upgrade the plugin to V4.4.0 or later.

Function Description
Downgraded Rendering improves the template editing performance by displaying static images instead of dynamic components. After the function is enabled, components do not change in real time and should be refreshed manually.
Downgraded rendering only takes effect during editing, and does not affect template previews. Dynamic component effects are displayed normally during previews.
Components affected by downgraded rendering:
3D components: 3D City Scene, Custom 3D Scene, and Unity
Chart components: Particle Counter, Carousel Catalog Gear, 3D Column on Globe, 3D Point on Globe, 3D Flow on Globe, Carousel 3D Combination Map (key information retained only), Carousel GIS Point Map, and Scene Map.
After lazy loading is enabled, during template previews, components outside the visible area stop being rendered until they are scrolled into view.
Demonstration
1. For the four components with adjustable viewing angles (3D City Scene, Custom 3D Scene, Unity, and Scene Map), static images of adjusted viewing angles are displayed in the components when downgraded rendering is enabled.
When you exit the component editing page and return to the canvas, a static image of the current viewing angle is automatically saved.
On the canvas, select the component, click the
icon in the upper-right corner to view the dynamic effect and adjust the viewing angle, and click the
icon or anywhere outside the component to save a static image of the current viewing angle.

2. For other components affected by downgraded rendering, dynamic effects are displayed when components are first added to the canvas. You can click the
icon or anywhere outside a component to save a static image.
To replay the dynamic effects, select the component again, and click the
icon in the upper-right corner.
