This article summarizes some of the problems you may encounter when using the new adaptive plugin for dashboards.
I. Plugin conflict problem
Currently, there are known plugins that conflict, and the problems when they conflict are as follows:
Cell blood relationship lookup (new): Guides in report blocks are lost when installed at the same time as the new adaptive plugin for dashboards.
Chart (old) : If installed at the same time as the new adaptive plugin, there are incompatible issues.
II. Why does Chrome show discrepancies in size and design time in some cases?
This is not a plugin problem. Instead, the browser limits the minimum size. Chrome sets the minimum font size by default. If the design font size is smaller than the minimum font size of the browser, the minimum font size of the browser takes effect.
For example, the minimum font size of Chrome is 12. After font adaptive is enabled, when the template is displayed at a smaller resolution, the font size is reduced by 10 in theory, but it is actually displayed as a 12 font.
Open Chrom browser, follow the path of "Settings → Appearance → Customize fonts", and adjust the minimum font settings as follows:
III. Why are there some differences in performance between the new and old dashboard?
New reports show piece of logic decision statements are redesigned, when the template report block, there is a lot of new dashboard showing loading performance is better than the old dashboard, when the template report block is small, the new dashboard showing loading performance is lower than the old dashboard, statements of much more special template will be obvious difference, please be aware of this issue before trying the plugin.
IV. After some old templates are switched to new, the effect is not perfect
After some old templates are switched to the new operation interface, the template effect may not be perfect, and you need to manually adjust the template. The scenario is as follows:
Old template | Abnormal effects that may occur | Recommended adjustment mode |
---|---|---|
Adaptive layout, using absolute canvas | Component content in the absolute canvas is truncated | Adjust the component position and size in the absolute canvas after switching |
Absolute layout, there are components outside the body area. | Use the edge of the outermost component as the body boundary | Adjust the component position before switching so that the component does not exceed the body boundary |
Absolute layout, body margin more blank | The body margin space is cropped | Manually adjust the component position and effect after switching |
Conversion logic description:
(1) Uncheck the global config template
1. What conversion logic is the layout?
The new and old operation interface switch back and forth, the layout (refers to the adaptive layout and absolute layout) will not change.
Note: The transformation logic for the layout is independent of whether the global configuration is used.
2. How to convert the attribute configuration from the old template to the new operation interface?
Old adaptive config | PC adaptive - Report scaling mode |
---|---|
Absolute layout - Fixed size | Don't adaptive |
Absolute layout - Fit the area | Bidirectional adaptive |
Adaptive layout - Bidirectional adaptive | Bidirectional adaptive |
Adaptive layout - Horizontal adaptive | Horizontal adaptive |
a. If the Pc browser adaptive settings of the report block have been modified separately for the old template, how do I convert the attribute settings after the template is converted to the new UI?
Report block -PC adaptive | Report block - Content display mode |
---|---|
Don't adaptive | Not automatically adjusted |
Horizontal adaptive | Horizontally cover report blocks |
Bidirectional adaptive | Bidirectional cover report blocks |
b. How to convert the adaptive attributes of the PC after the report block is converted to the new operation interface?
The old template is converted to the new operation interface. The content of the report block in the right attribute bar is displayed as "Not automatically adjusted" by default.
3. How to convert the attribute configuration from the new template to the old operation interface?
Adaptive windows PC | A report block adaptive attribute window is displayed on the PC |
---|---|
Fonts - adaptive | Fonts - adaptive |
Fonts - don't adaptive | Fonts - don't adaptive |
Report scaling mode - bidirectional adaptive | Table - bidirectional adaptive |
Report scaling mode - horizontal adaptive | Table - horizontal adaptive |
Report scaling mode - don't adaptive | Table - don't adaptive |
Note 1: This logic is used for templates in both absolute and adaptive layouts.
Report block - Content display mode | Report block -PC adaptive |
---|---|
Not automatically adjusted | PC adaptive - don't adaptive |
Width cover report blocks | PC adaptive - horizontal adaptive |
Bidirectional cover report blocks | PC adaptive - bidirectional adaptive |
Note: Absolute layout under the template, convert to the old UI, default to absolute layout - fixed size; The template under adaptive layout is converted to the old operation interface, which defaults to adaptive layout - bidirectional adaptive.
(2) Select the global configuration template. How to convert the property configuration after switching between the new and old operation interfaces?
For templates that use global configuration, the new global configuration will be used after being converted to the new dashboard operation interface.
The new global configuration is shown in the following figure by default:
Note 1: The default zoom logic for absolute canvas blocks is [Adaptive]. In the old template under the absolute canvas block, switch back and forth operation interface, does not affect its "zoom logic" configuration.
V. What optimizations have been made to chart since pluin version 1.8.8
In version 1.8.8 of the plugin, some of the fixed pixel attributes of the chart are adaptive. They can now be adaptive to the overall zoom of the browser window, including the following attributes:
Custom size of pie chart radius
Column chart and bar chart fix column widths
Line/Area/Radar/Box Chart line width, marker size (default and custom)
The instrument panel has a fixed radius
The scatter chart marks points with custom radius sizes
Bubble chart, mechanical bubble chart minimum and maximum diameter sizes
Heat map rendering radius
The word cloud specifies the size
Frame chart node radius custom size, wire custom width
Point map marks point size
Tube type dashboard chute fixed length and width
Map legend character size
Radar axis label character size
Tube type dashboard shaft label character size
Attributes related to the above chart in the composite chart, composite chart- radar chart fixed radius size
Note: Chart adaptive optimization requires updating the plugin to version 1.8.8 and JAR package to version 2020-12-02.
