Previewing the Mobile Effect of the Template on PC

Google Chrome is recommended.

This document introduces how to use browser device emulation tools to simulate the mobile preview effect of a single template on PC, taking Google Chrome's mobile device emulation tool as an example.

This document offers the solution with the following advantages:

• No mobile device is required. 

• No network configuration is needed, avoiding connection failures caused by firewall blocking.

Copying the Template Preview Link

1. In FineReport designer, open any general report or FRM report (for example, Flexible and Simple Data Entry.cpt), and select Mobile Preview, as shown in the following figure:

Note:

FVS visualization dashboards can be directly previewed on mobile terminals. For details, see FVS Template Preview and Mounting.

2. Wait until the page shown in the following figure is displayed in the PC browser. Tick Data Entry, and click the Copy Link button.

Note:

Data Entry Preview is not supported in FRM reports.

3. Open a new browser tab and paste the link obtained in step 2 into the address bar, as shown in the following figure.

Switching the Device

In Chrome, open the Developer tools window by pressing F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I, or by clicking the xxx icon in the upper right corner, and choosing More tools > Developer tools.

Click the Toggle device button to switch to mobile terminals, as shown in the following figure.

Effect Display

Access the current URL to view the mobile report effect, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

Code scanning is not supported when a mobile template is previewed on PC.
