Version
| Report Server Version | Plugin Version | Feature Change |
|---|---|---|
| 11.0.22 | V4.13.0 | Added the Missing Font Detection feature to prevent truncation, blank pages, inconsistent layouts, and other issues during preview or export. |
Application Scenario
The server calculates dimensions such as row height and column width for cells based on the fonts installed on the server. When a font is missing on the server, the calculated dimensions may not match the actual layout in the browser, which can cause blank previews, text truncation, or layout issues.
In this case, you can use the Missing Font Detection feature to check fonts in table and chart components of the template. It identifies fonts that are not installed on the server and locates the affected components and pages, helping ensure consistent display and export results for FVS templates across environments.
Feature Overview
In an FVS template, click Template Setting > Detection Settings in the upper-right corner of the canvas, and then click Detect Missing Fonts.

After you click it, the system validates the fonts used in table and chart components in the FVS template. If fonts are missing, the system displays the missing fonts along with the corresponding component names and page information.

Missing font detection and notifications are supported during template editing, preview, and export, as described below:
Template Editing
When missing fonts are detected on the page containing the opened template, a pop-up notification appears in the upper-right corner: Missing fonts were detected in the current template. Go to Detection Settings to perform a full font detection, then replace the missing fonts or install them on the server.
Click Go to Detection to go to Template Setting > Detection Settings.
Note:Only fonts used in table components are checked in the editing interface.

Template Preview
Font detection is not triggered automatically when you preview a template. You can manually trigger it by appending op=inspect to the URL and refreshing the page.
Note:1. Only fonts used in table components are checked in the preview interface.
2. Missing font detection is not supported on mobile devices.

Template Export
To detect missing fonts during export, enable the export buttons in the toolbars of table and chart components, as shown in the following figure.

When you click the export buttons on the preview page, the system automatically checks whether the component contains missing fonts. If fonts are missing, a notification dialog appears, as shown in the following figure.
