Data Entry Freeze

Application Scenario

You hope that the header row or certain parts of a report containing many columns and rows remain fixed when scrolling to view the data during data entry preview.

Implementation Method

FineReport provides the data entry freeze function. Choose Template > Repeat/Freeze on the menu bar to go to the setting page.

Note:

1. Freeze must be set from the first row or column and cannot be set from the middle. You are not allowed to only freeze the last row or column.

2. If the frozen rows include expandable dynamic data, all the expanded data is frozen.

3. If rows or columns to be frozen contain merged cells, all rows and columns where merged cells are located need to be frozen.

Opening a Template

Open the built-in template Data_Entry_freeze in the %FR_HOME%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets\doc-EN\DataEntry\DataEntryApplication path in the designer.

Setting Data Entry Freeze

Choose Template > Repeat/Freeze on the menu bar, click the Data Entry Preview tab, and set the rows and columns to be frozen as needed. The following figure demonstrates the setting.

Effect Display

On PC

Save the template and click Data Entry Preview. Then the preview effect is shown in the following figure.

On Mobile Terminals

The template can be previewed on the App/HTML5 terminal, as shown in the following figure.

The complete template is saved in the %FR_HOME%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\reportlets\doc-EN\DataEntry\DataEntryApplication\Data_Entry_freeze.cpt path.
