Application Scenario
The Use permission for a server dataset refers to a user's permission to use a server dataset, where the user can use template datasets in the designer and use server datasets in the decision-making platform.

Example One
Assign the Use permission on the user-information server dataset to the user eoco, allowing eoco to use this server dataset when creating templates in the designer.
Enabling Data Connection Control
Log in to the decision-making platform as the super admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Global Setting, enable Data Connection Control, and click Save.
Assigning the Use Permission on Server Datasets
Log in to the decision-making platform as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.
You can select the permission carrier from Dept./Role/User List. In this example, select eoco from User List and enable the Use permission of the user-information server dataset, as shown in the following figure.
Assigning Remote Connection Permission
Connect to the project remotely as the super admin, choose Server > Remote Design Permission Management, and select eoco to assign this user the remote design permission.
Effect Display
The user eoco (account: eoco, password: 123456) can remotely connect to the project and use the user-information server dataset to create templates in the designer.
Only server datasets for which this user has permission are displayed, while those the user has no permission for are hidden and inaccessible.
If the template saved/previewed by the user during the remote design contains server datasets for which the user has no permission, an error message appears, saying "Saving failed. The current operator lacks permissions on x server dataset(s): XXXX".
Example Two
Assign the Use permission on the user-information server dataset to the user eoco, allowing eoco to edit, preview, delete, and rename this server dataset in the decision-making platform.
Enabling Data Connection Control
Log in to the decision-making system as the super admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Global Setting, enable Hierarchical Authorization and Data Connection Control, and click Save.
Assigning the Use Permission on Server Datasets
Log in to the decision-making platform as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.
You can select the permission carrier from Dept./Role/User List. In this example, select eoco from User List and enable the Use permission of the user-information server dataset, as shown in the following figure.
Assigning the Use Permission on Data Connections
Assigning the Use permission on the FRDemo data connection is required as the user-information server dataset is created based on this data connection.
Log in to the decision-making platform as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.
You can select the permission carrier from Dept./Role/User List. In this example, select eoco from User List and enable the Use permission of the FRDemo data connection, as shown in the following figure.

Log in to the decision-making platform as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.

Effect Display
After the user eoco logs into the decision-making platform and chooses System Management > Data Connection > Server Dataset, this user can edit, preview, delete, and rename the user-information server dataset.
Only server datasets for which this user has permission are displayed, while those the user has no permission for are hidden, inaccessible, and uneditable.
Notes
Non-super admin users cannot perform the following operations in the designer during the remote design:
Create, edit, or delete server datasets.
Create, edit, or delete data connections.
When editing server datasets in the decision-making platform:
If a user has permission to use a tree dataset but does not have permission to use the source dataset on which it depends, the user can edit the tree dataset, but cannot select a column from the source dataset in the drop-down box. And the source dataset will be highlighted in red.
If a user has permission to use the server dataset but does not have permission to use the data connection on which it depends, the user can edit the server dataset, but cannot select a data connection in the drop-down box.
When using server datasets in the decision-making platform:
A user can only select server datasets for which the user has the Use permission when importing/synchronizing users, while those without permissions are not included in the selection list.
A user can only select a server dataset for which the user has the Use permission as the source dataset when creating a tree dataset in the decision-making platform, while those without permissions are not included in the selection list.
